Golly gee, dude, what'd I do to you?
you are not a mod favorite right now. In fact you are on extremely thin ice.

So.. Instead of having your own opinion about Rusty, you go with the group and become apart of the Hivemind?

It's funny how I haven't heard about the overall thickness of this ice that I'm on until now. Not to mention I can't really think of anything I've done that's "bad", in the rulebreaking sense.

I think he's saying that he, as well as the other mods, do not think very highly of me. Which is understandable.

Then maybe you should get on their good side. Rule 2.

Just a thought.

I've gotten three, maybe four PM's regarding something I've posted before, telling me to cut it out. Either myself or the mod that sent the PM edited the post and that was that. I've never been informed of the seriousness of the offense, but by the tone of most of the PM's, I assumed that it wasn't serious and could easily be fixed with an edit.

I don't plan to quit saying things that I think should be said. If you look at most of my posts that can be called offensive, you'll probably see many responses to things that other people have said, and it's really up to the person reading as to whether it's justified or not.

The reactions to my posts have been pretty immature, which is when I decide to continue badgering the person for Corrupted LOLs.

Basically, people need to chill because what i'm saying is actually not that bad

Exactly. Hard to control what someone does, when the rule against it is based on personal bias?

Well just yesterday you had two nice Rule 2 violations.

Correctamundo.

Rule 2 is subject to opinion. Granted, the staff decides what applies to that rule. But it is definitely unclear what the consequences are for those violations, which is why punishment is not often delivered on that rule.

Personally, I think it would be better if people would just grow some backbone and take the petty insults and jokes I throw out in stride, and generally that is the case and nobody has a problem. However, a couple people decide to take something like "Go away" as a personal offense and start whining about it. I don't really care if they do or not, but I do keep replying if they do something like that. I'm never really serious about it, anyway.

Also, no need to be an a-hole, dude.

You think that people should grow some backbone and just deal with your insults?

We think you should grow up and stop giving out insults.

And don't go throwing them at BTG for answering your own question which you so indignantly asked. You wanted to know why you're on thin ice, he told you, and you're not helping out your case any with this show you're putting on for us.

Now that BTG is a mod, and it's apparent that the only qualification for becoming one is longevity and posting frequency, I'm even less interested in the HR Wiki Forum.

Hey, BTG's a bully! Let's give him a banstick!

Genius.

Also, R&P is dead. That stinks.

I rate the forum at a 2/10.

I don't have a ban stick, only keys to lock threads. I don't get a ban stick unless I am wearing a red shirt.

I don't know what I have to do to get it through your head that I am through done with you. I want nothing more to do with you in that respect. I will engage you in civil discussion, but I will no longer respond to your trying to anger me. I have tried to extend the olive branch and bury the hatchet, but you won't let that happen. Plus, ever since I have become a mod, all you have done is attack me and I know what you are trying to do. You are trying to get me to lash out at you and have my mod powers revoked. But what you forget to realize, and the admins will back me up on this, if you keep coming after me, you will be looking for a new forum. Now do what Ramrod told you: grow up and leave me alone.

It's just the tone of these. And "No need to be an a-hole" isn't an insult. Just because I used a curse word doesn't mean it's an insult, contrary to popular belief.

While these discussions are important (If people don't get this stuff out, nothing gets resolved - that's my view) this really isn't the thread to discuss them. This thread is about your overall opinion of the forum, not which members suck and who hates who and whether or not people are getting banned. Make another thread if you guys want, but keep it out of this one.

Actually, this would be the thread to do it in, because without getting our grievances and feelings out, our overall opinion of the forum will decline, yet we would stay in a state of fake bliss instead of true happiness.

Now, in my opinion, the forum is at a low point when it comes to creativity, but thats something that can easily be fixed. When it comes to behavior, we all tend to behave pretty good, and occassionally we throw around an insult or two, but usually they're just thrown as jokes. Now, the point we're on now is that people should learn to take jokes, and the counter point is that people should stop with the insults.

What classifies an insult? The insult used? The tone the insult is conveyed in? saying something like "Yeah, whatever, shut up" after a long section of debating, I'd probably consider that an insult, but I wouldn't call it a personal attack. Harrassment, on the other hand, would be kind of what Lahi is doing towards BTG. What Lahi is doing is constantly following him around and searching for a time when he would fly off the handle because he's jealous of his moderator title. And when BTG starts to make points, Lahi goes in and pretty much says that it was a bad idea to make him a mod. In my book, thats harassment. When I told that chick "Stop jewing/socializing up my thread," that would be considered Bigotry, and I was properly reprimanded for it. Now, lets say if I said something similar to say...Ace, and it was in Random Thoughts. That wouldn't be considered Bigotry, its banter. The same thing goes with what we sort of do to Abu or to anyone who generally makes an idiot of themselves, we banter them. Usually they make a counter to our banter, and it either ends there, or it gets personal. THATS when it turns into harassment.

Judgment of what is and what isn't harassment on an internet forum is hard, mainly because its hard to tell banter from harassment.

Second, Mods, if we do something wrong, send us a PM to tell us so we know exactly what we did, and if we have to, we'll explain it to you the best we can.

What else?

Now I'm not on any side, but I find it a little hypocritical that the person that always says "Just get over it everyone's gonna be mean somtimes." is the one Bawwwing now. Doesn't feel as good when you're on someone else's list?
