The best we can do is choose policies and enforce rules that make it a fun place to be for the majority. Saying "you all can pack up and leave" is not a viable argument if a great number of people (not just people, people who have been here a LONG time and should thus have some respect) want a change in rule enforcement policy. I figured this new policy was confirmed for all of us when "Ladies and Gentlemen" occurred. I figured this was now going to be a democratically run forum with the leaders still enforcing rules, but rules that allow for a pleasing environment for the majority. But some of these responses, both public AND on the Moderator Forum, worry me.

So are Ace, Ninti, etc.

If this majority of the forum all tells them to, though, I wouldn't be surprised if they did. And some have.

Pure democracy is a horrible idea. What if 200 new users signed up with the intent of turning the forum into a porn-sharing location? Would you acquiesce to the demands of the majority in that case?

Heres a though: Where, in the last oh...say... ten days, has the phrase "GTFO" been uttered anywhere else except in this thread?

Banning the use of GTFO or other such things might be nice for some people but would be irritating or annoying to others.

Also, the forum cannot be all things to all people.

Heres a question, why are we arguing whether we can use GTFO or not when we can just go on and have a discussion elsewhere in another thread about whatever topic that thread is about? I mean, seriously, why are we all in a huff over GTFO? Its just an acronym.

Its pretty much an argument of "We should welcome all users" masked as "No more GTFO." But why are we arguing about it when we pretty much do give all new users a chance before they either get accepted or make a rear-end of themselves.

Brass tacks, if we remove everything its more than likely this, but I'm not sure: Lahi wants things his way, we don't so Lahi makes a thread complaining about something inane just so he can complain about other users while it still being constructive and not against the rules.
