I'm thinking of a 404 page for the wiki. How about:

Code:

FLAGRANT SERVER ERROR
Page Over.
Missing = Very Yes.

Uninstall it. Check the Windows Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel for "Active Alert" and/or "Internet Optimizer." Remove both. If only the latter is there, it apparently has no effect. I dunno if Spybot catches it, but it's worth a try.

I don't really like the idea.

Put some technical crap somewhere in there so people who dont know homestar know they accessed an unknown page.

I know this thread is a month old, but I just got here. I think it would be really cool if we could somehow use the <A HREF=http://www.homestarrunner.com/systemisdown.swf>System Is Down</A> page to tell people there is an error, and simply just transport them back to the main Wiki page.

As it is now, the <A HREF=http://www.homestarrunner.com/systemisdown.swf>System Is Down</A> page simply sends you back to the hr.com toon page.

The Bros. Chaps may not be too happy about us using their productions without permission, though that could be answered with an email to them

hehe, I find that part really funny considering we rip the entire hr. com website and put it on the wiki here.

We rip H*R? You mean by archiving the MP3s? Or by taking screenshots of the toons? Or by transcribing the toons?

Please explain.

I like it. It would be really good to remove the line that says main, toons, games, etc.. and put something more 404 descriptivy, with a link to the main page.

You just change the .htaccess file to change what page you want to be the 404'd page. I doubt if homestarrunner.com uses Internet Optimizer. Google Please

As it is now, the System Is Down page simply sends you back to the hr.com toon page.

Please explain. yes, exactly. all of the above. hey man, I love HR and I think this is a great place for the fans of it. I just found it funny, I'm not saying that I don't agree with us asking TBC to use that page, or somehow getting it to redirect back to the wiki homepage, I just found what he wrote funny.
