The seach button should be more visible. The are too many ABP'D (Already been posted) topics on the forum. |

No, there is nothing wrong with the search button, and I'm guessing that you already know that. The reason you made this topic, I suspect, is just to say that there are too many people who post without thinking? |

There is nothing wrong with the search button. It's not at all hard to find. The people who create ABP'D topics should know that all forums have a search button and are too ignorant to actually take the time to look for a similar topic. How would we even be able to make it "more visible" without causing a disturbance in the layout? |

Read above--it's already been pointed out that the goal here is not to edit the search button. |

I understand that No_loafing wants to stop topics that have already been posted from being posted again. This topic is called "The seach button should be more visible." so that is what I thought we were discussing. Apparently we're now talking about people not using the search button. That's their own fault. Unless we apply a rule against that (which we would never do), there's nothing that we can do. But hey, that's what mods are for.

Even if we make a new rule, the problem won't go away. We're not going to start banning people for asking dumb questions before searching, and newbies don't read the rules anyway. And the above is correct -- the problem is not the Search button, it's the users, and newbies will never change. |
