Futurama sucked. The Simpsons rocked, and still rocks.

I think the episodes are still good, although I do agree with the seasons 4-9 comment. That really was their peak.

I think they jumped the shark on the 300th episode, but I still like the show.

TOTPD! :eekdance: :eekdance: :eekdance:

Oh, and I'll throw in an American flag for September 11th (yes, I know it's the 12th): :usa:

Hey, Futurama was teh cool. I liked some episodes even more than The Simpsons.

An another note, I want to know what people think of this.
They don't know for sure when it's coming out, but wikipedia says it won't come out untill after the series ends:

wikipedia wrote:
Movie
Talk about a possible feature-length Simpsons movie has been going on since the early days of the series. The episode "Kamp Krusty" was originally going to be a movie, but became a regular episode after difficulties were encountered in trying to expand the script to feature-length.

Rumors were circulated on the Internet about a movie already being in development, but it was not until 2004 that any were confirmed. In that year, producers announced a theatrical movie is in the very early stages of development, and that it will not be released until after the series ends. With the series being renewed for a twentienth season, an estimated premiere date was set for the summer of 2008. This was confirmed by 20th Century Fox June 6, 2005. Just like the series, the movie will be animated (Matt Groening recently turned down a proposal to make a live action film based on the characters, as this would likely ruin the franchise and anger fans) and will star the six main voice actors: Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria, Harry Shearer, and most likely Marcia Wallace, Maggie Roswell, Pamela Hayden, and Tress MacNeille. It is speculated that there will also be guest stars appearing in large roles or cameos. IMDb has also created a page for The Simpsons movie, and claims a release date of November 2008.

It is not yet known whether movie production is a signal that the television run of The Simpsons is expected to end before its release. There are numerous examples, however, of television series continuing to run after spinning off a feature film, including Dragnet, The X-Files, Mystery Science Theater 3000, South Park and Beavis and Butt-head.

News website Corona posted a popular April Fool's Day hoax describing fictional plans for a live action movie.

I agree with DG, it just uses the same jokes over and plots over. How many time has marge left homer now? Well appeared to leave homer.....its old and will stay old.

I was actually hoping that Marge WAS going to leave Homer on last Sunday's episode, marking one of the few times the show has had a permanent change to the established universe, and might make for some interesting future episodes.

But, they got back together at the end. Bleh.

Eh. I kind of have a problem when 30-minute cartoons are made into hour and a half movies. It just seems wrong sometimes.

Not to say I wouldn't go see it. ;)

Yeah. The SpongeBob movie, for instance wasn't all that great, IMO. It was funy, but not as good as the tv show itself.

No it's not, Spamming is a post theat has nothing to do with the topic. That was on topic, as strange as it was, it was on topic.

Nice to see that there are still uber Simpsons fans out there.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, however you look at it, they are being replaced by Family Guy. Not that there's a problem with that.

Yeah that is unfortunate. I am both, I am still an uber Simpsons fan and an uber Family Guy.

I've never actually sat down and watched Family Guy, but from what I've seen it looks pretty funny.

I like The Simpsons better (since I haven't seen a full Family Guy episode), but all my friends say it roxs.

True dat. They both are pretty different, although the basis is kind of the same. I like the Simpsons more than Family Guy, but FG will always hold a place in my heart.

Don't worry. I think the Simpsons will be around for at least a couple of years. But, all shows run its course in due time, and the Simpsons is no different. Of course, I'll probably cry if it ever goes away.

The Simpsons is still okay, just not as good as it used to be.

My opinion isn't on the poll so I didn't vote.

Urrr, I know this is a bit late, but the Simpsons episode on Sunday was way too much like Family Guy, with the part where Bart was in his race car bed.

The new series have their moments, but none of them are as good as the old, laugh-throughout-the-whole-episode episodes.

Prepare to die. Futurama pwns The Simpsons.

I don't agree with any of the options. While the new episodes are still funny, they lack the magic of the older episodes. Hence, I voted for #2, though I don't think it should be taken off the air.

futurama was just the simpsons with different characters. so saying either of hem sucked compared to the other doesnt really make sense.
I think that the simpsonsare still good enough to keep going. Like, that one were Lisa was in the american idol type thing, thAT made me laugh as much as the old ones. Maybe if those lazy writers made some more NEW plots for once... BUT NO MORE SIDE SHOW BOB!!! >:(

Which does not invalidate the claim that Futurama is better.
