So, take your pick. Is it Parasitic Armored Arachnid-Gohma Infernal Dinosaur-Dodongo Bio-Electric Anemone-Barinade Evil Spirit From Beyond-Phantom Ganon Subterranean Lava Dragon-Volvagia Giant Aquatic Amoebe-Morpha Phantom Shadow Beast-Bongo Bongo Sorceress Sisters-Twin Rova King of Thieves-Ganondorf I liked Twin Rova because that was probablly the most involved and the most fun for me. |

I think Ganon and Ganondorf are two seperate bosses. I always like Volvagia, but Twinrova are good too. I also kind of like Bongo Bongo, even if it does have a stupid name, but it took me ages to beat it because I didn't think of using the Hover Boots. Also I thought you were supposed to hit it with your sword, not with arrows, when its face flies towards you. And Dodongo is nice and easy, even if you don't have the Hylian Shield. Gohma I hated at first because I was scared to death of the Gohma Larvae hatching and attacking me. I was eleven. Barinade was really annoying as well. Stupid jellyfish. And Morpha was really easy on my first playthrough, and harder on subsequent playthroughs because I remembered how easy it was and relaxed. Phantom Ganon was annoying because I kept using a bottle to reflect his attacks instead of my sword, and I always focused on the wrong painting. Ganondorf was also annoying, but Ganon was really easy when I figured out I was supposed to use the Master Sword to attack him, not the Biggoron's Sword. Cool looking, though. |

I even picked up the sword, then immediently switched back to the Biggoron's Sword. ready for prime time wrote: Shwoo also wrote: Cool looking, though. not on CD-i. Nothing beats bashing a dragon's head in with a hammer. And then it turns into a skeleton for some reason. |

Well, it was technically a ZOMBIE dragon in a way, since it was dead before Ganon rezed it. Definitely Volvagia. Hands down. That boss was just fantastically well-animated. Even today, fighting him looks gorgeous. And it's a FUN fight, too. Volvagia owns you all. But I will say, Barinade is a close second. It's so psychotic and huge. It almost looks like something out of Metroid, too. And it's TOUGH if you don't know what to do. |

Volvagia is by far the best boss. Like CT said, it was animated great. I like crushing his skull after he pops out of the lava pit. As for his "turning into a skeleton", that happened because his "hair" is made of fire. After you beat him, he starts twisting all over himself, setting himself on fire and burning himself until there's just the skeleton left. Also Morpha sucks. MC Otaku wrote: Susan wrote: Volvagia is teh sick. Deal with it. Pwn'd. No, that's not "pwn" at all. It would have been if someone said "OMFG VOLVAGIA = SO CULL!!" in the previous post, but just alone, that statement doesn't "pwn" anyone. |

I'd try to get his nucleus but I always got caught and flung around. In fact, both of the bosses in the Water Temple annoyed me. Shadow Link was cool and all, but very tough, since I just kept trying to fight him with the sword. The next play through I said "screw it" and took the hammer to him. |

I always had trouble with him, but I recently found out he's very easy to beat using the Biggoron's Sword to lunge. But he's really annoying if you keep thrusting with the Master Sword. He keeps standing on it. |

...I just realized that I put "Doda" instead of Dodongo...ugh. And Morpha almost beat me, I went through 2 fairies and I had 11 hearts, I beat him with 1 heart left. His attacks are strong but it was a boring battle. Also, I didn't find the water temple all that hard considering how everybody makes it sound so difficult, it was only long. |

It's been too long since I last played, but I find Bongo Bongo and Volvagia the coolest/best. |

It's not so hard, but the keys can be difficult to find, and getting around inside the inner pillar is confounding sometimes. |

You know who's awesome to fight? Goht from Majora's Mask. The real way (Goron roll), not the borinmg way (stand around and shoot fire arrows). |

I voted Phantom Ganon, because he was fun, but Volvagia and Bongo Bongo are my second choices. |

Phantom Ganon was probably the most difficult Zelda boss ever for me... I don't know why, but he just owned me repeatedly the first time I fought him. And yet most bosses didn't give me a problem. Huh... |

Luckily for me, I read the "real" way in a player's guide before I actually got to fight him. Ha!

I always had trouble with him, but I recently found out he's very easy to beat using the Biggoron's Sword to lunge. But he's really annoying if you keep thrusting with the Master Sword. He keeps standing on it. The guide says that you are supposed to use the quick and magicless variation of the Spin Sword Attack that requires you to quickly rotate the Analog Stick, but that is a very difficult move to set up, especially because the Analog Stick of any N64 controller will inevitably cease to function properly(I lost far too many controllers that way). My method has always been to stock up on Blue potions(all four bottles) before I enter the temple and use Den's fire repeatedly. I get up close and personal with Mirror Link, making sure to wack at him a few times to get his attention. Then, I use Den's Fire right in his face. Before the spell's animation pauses Mirror Link, he hits you a few times without actually damaging you. He tends to freeze with his sword still stuck in your kidneys, which means he can't possibly be blocking anything. He then falls through the floor after being hit, so you have to set it up again. Den's fire uses a lot of magic, which is the more important of two reasons why the Blue potions are required. It's been a while since I've played the Water Temple, so I forget if this eventually kills mirror Link or just brings him to the edge of death. At any rate, this method is quite effective if you don't waste your potions on when you still have half a meter of magic left(I very much dislike when people do that). Anyway, if I had to pick favorites, I guess it would be Volvagia for the same reasons as Ace and CT as well as a few of my own. The Medieval-like fantasy theme of this game would have been incomplete without a flying, fire-breathing dragon somewhere in the story, and Volvagia fills that role quite nicely. Also, this is one of the few times that the Megaton Hammer is properly used as a weapon instead of just a tool for flipping small baddies and breaking barriers and such. Last, but not least, there's that big boom from the mountain viewed from the village below. That's always amusing to watch. |

It kills him. You just need one potion if your magic meter is full when you start, by the way. |
