Post subject:  Christmas Trees: Artificial or Real?
So, which Christmas tree do you prefer? We've always had artificial, but these year the old tree crapped out on us, so this time we got a real one. It's nice, and I think I like real ones better. They look nicer.

artificial, and it will always be artificial.
One year a friend of mine got one from tree farm and it had spiders in it.

Real, I hate artificial ones, the real ones look nices, and they smell nicer, and for me, Christmas wouldn't be the same without the Christmas tree smell.

Real tree all the way. I'd hate to have an artificial one.

I can't imagine a Christmas without going to the lot and picking out a tree. Just dragging one up from your basement kinda ruins the magic, I think.

Real, 'cause the artificial ones are usually made by some guy in China for a dollar a day. And they break real easy.

No tree for us. We haven't had a Christmas tree in many years

This is, however, the first time in the twenty years we've owned this house that we've put up Christmas lights outside (My sister's boyfriend likes them, so they put some up) so that kinda cancels the other out, right?

I'm a traditionalist. With real Christmas trees, you get the added benefits of flammability, a tacky scent, and, yes, FREE PINE NEEDLES!

Yeah, that was sarcasm. Although the real ones look less like someone stapled green sewing needles onto a bunch of sticks, the artificial ones are more convenient. Also, aesthetics aren't all that important when the tree is only going to be there for a month or so.

My mom won't get a real one because when I was little I cried about hurting the tree by cutting it down. So we got a live one and after Xmas dad planted it in the front yard. The next year we got a live one AGAIN and after Xmas dad put it out on the front porch meaning to plant it, but we ended up having brown ole tree on our porch till mid to late January. I prefer real but we've had an artificial since that year.

artificial. i won't get into the 'father scrooge' story right now, but one tree costs 150 dollars, but lasts for 30 years. the secret is to buy them after christmas.

Well, for the past few years or so, my mom's been using artificial, and I absolutely DESPISE that tree. It... just... I don like it. So real all the way for me.

Usually we have artificial, but this year we went to a tree farm and got a real one - I don't think we'll ever switch back. Real ones just look cooler, plus the smell is... wow. Its better than the way girls' hair smells right after they wash it...

Is it possible to get high off of Christmas tree?

My dad and I always had real trees, but I never really liked them that much... I mean, sure, real trees are nice, I don't have a problem with 'em, but what it takes to set them up...

1. First, go out in the butt-numbing cold for hours trying to find "The Perfect Tree"
2. Then, wrap it up in mesh and secure it to the top of the car
3. Get it home, struggle to get it inside, get pine needles all over the place
4. Place it in water, splash water all over your freezing toes, and re-water it EVERY STINKIN' DAY.
5. And at the end, repeat step 4, then step 3 (in reverse, of course).

Oh, the woe and agony. When I'm an adult I'm definitely using fake trees. They come in pretty colors and everything.

To be honest, I've never had a real tree. Allergies.

But I don't think I'd want to go out and buy a real tree every year. It's a lot easier to drag a large ox out of the garage and assemble the pieces.

We've had three poles with holes for fake Christmas Tree branches since probably before I was born. Hasn't broken yet.

So... artificial. I'm not into geting spiders in my tree.

We used to use artificial, but for the past few years we've been using real. I like the smell. And there's the added benefit that I'm not the one that has to clean up the pine needles.
