Can you be a lazy brat? If so...

A brat's a brat.

Lazy, whiny, michievous, spiteful, cruel, spoil, miliary, rich, whatever.

Brat can be anything. Just with a brat, they take it farther than most people.

Like a rich brat. Yeah, some people will admit they're rich. So what?

But a rich brat will brag and brag about it, rub it in your face as much as possible, make you feel worthless because you have less money than them, and basically be a world-class pain in the neck.

Good thing about rich brats, they're usually wusses, weak as water, and you can just beat the everloving snot out of them to get them to shut up.

They're too rich and spoiled to actually get up and run and play and such. So they're not as fit as the 'poor' kids that have to play tag and hide-n-seek.

Grown rich brats will usually just hide behind lawers and crap like that. Still, a good busting of a nose will prevent a lot of unnessesary bragging from said brat. Just make sure no one's watching so they can't sue you. lol

Needless to say, Hollywood is chock-full of rich brats.

I'm going to take back my thoughts on my most disliked brat.

I have come up with two that I really dislike. Almost as much as I do alarm clocks. Don't you dare get me started on alarm clocks neither. I'm warning you.

You do not want to hear the rabid rant on that.

Anyways.

My most disliked brats are as follows:

The Rich Brat: Has tons of money and loves, just loves, to rub it in your face. I just want to knock their polished teeth down the back of their throats.

The Whiny Brat: This is a brat that really needs to get a grip. If all you can do is whine and cry everytime you have to lift a finger, than you need a good swift kick in the tail. With steel toed boots.

There you go.

If you have a brat you can't stand, go ahead and post it here.

I'd add the "I'm-to-good-for-you brat." Those people drive me CRAZY!

I know about them all to well. My school was full of them.

We called them 'preppies'. And the only people that could be friends with preps, where other preps. I was an outcast until sometime in middle school. Then I moved up to a norm. I stayed there until I graduated. I still am a norm in college really. I'd rather stay where I am in the status than go up to being a prep, tho. I actually want friends, you know? I'm no jerk.

Tho, if you insult me first, I won't hesitate to throw a insult back.

Yeah, I can't stand that kind of brat. They're like Rich Brats. But without the tons of money.

I think the definition for preps is the rich person. (According to Bully.)

Author:  Indigo Kitsune [ Tue Jan 02, 2007 11:56 pm ]
Post subject:

You say tomater, I zader matermorts. lol

But seriously, they are about the same thing. But usually, the preps in our school wasn't really flithy stinking rich. They where just well off.

No, all the RICH kids here go to private schools.

Something else.

We had a JROTC class in our school. Army branch. They had to wear green suits once every week.

Everybody, including me, called them 'pickles'. Some of them kind of deserved it. The preps in that class.

I classify bullies as the dumb idiots who fail every class they're in but think that beating the everloving crap out of anyone but those bigger than them, is completely fun and enjoyable.

I guess the preps in my school can be classified as 'rich' in some ways. They sure knew how to spend and show it off. Vainity was widespread in my school also. Very widespread.

Why people gain happiness off of being a brat?

Author:  Indigo Kitsune [ Wed Jan 03, 2007 12:10 am ]
Post subject:

I always enjoy it because a good prank, when pulled right and for the right reason (*cough* revenge *cough*) can be very hilarous and satisfying if you where pulling it for revenge.

As for other kinds of brats, I don't really know. I haven't really bothered to stick around them that long to find out.

I'm guessing whiny brats enjoy being a brat because they almost always get their way. Which makes them happy. And everybody else miserable.

Rich brats just like being a brat because they can. And they have the lawers to prove it.

Army brats, for the same reason. But they have their military parents to back them up.

But that's just what I think.

Wow.

From looking at my poll's results, I'm starting to feel as if we brats are a rare breed.

I'm glad I'm not alone, though. Not the only brat in this forum.

Oh well. There's got to be more brats out there. Just some of you won't admit it. Don't be ashamed to be a brat.

Personally, I'm proud to be the brat I am. Pranks and ranting. That's two of my mediums.

My other mediums, writing stories and being able to beat almost any video game I buy within a week. Sometimes, SOMETIMES, with the use of a strategy guide. But you all know you cheat at games too. So don't start on me with that.

Ah, yeah, the Bratz.

Teaching young girls that nothing matters in the world but money and fashion.

At least that's what they're talking about in the news, I've read. These little dolls are being considered a very bad influence and role models for girls of today's age.

Yeah, there's a such thing as a fashion-obsessed brat. Hollywood is full of them.

Post subject:

Yeah. I hate those flippin' dolls. Although the bubble-blowing dolls are sort of cute. But still, they have baby dolls that go an get TATTOOS?

Author:  Indigo Kitsune [ Sat Jan 06, 2007 7:03 am ]
Post subject:

Tattoos? Babies getting tatoos?

See, now I can understand fully how that's a bad influence.

That's very unrealistic. I'm mean, what are we trying to teach kids today? You know? As if subjecting them to 'Barney' and the 'Tellytubbies' wasn't bad enough. Now we got toys corrupting them.

And I want to raise the subject of why they took Tom & Jerry and Looney Toons off of the air. They said because they where to 'violent'.

Well, look at today's cartoons. Nothing but violence. At least, in the old toons, nobody died. They always came back in the shape of an accordian or flat as paper. But they where still alive.

Getting back on topic, I think today's society makes kids these days into brats. Technology is spoiling them. Crap, have the kids in the U.S. right now probably don't know how to properly camp out. Camping out in a RV in the middle of a huge parking lot out in the middle of nowhere.

Crap, I camped out on a island in a lake, up in the woods, and even in my grandparents back yard next to the pond before. Only real 'technology' we had was a small gas Coleman lantern and fishing poles. Other than that, we made tents out of tarps, slept in sleeping bags, and weathered out the bugs and other creepy crawlies.

Now that's camping.

Okay, you lost me completely. Could you post again and quote what I said exactly that your agreeing/disagreeing/whatever to/with/whatever.

Because I kind of don't really know what in the world you talking about at the moment.

Thanks.

I am actually a pretty nice guy and not a brat. Unfortunately, that's not what it takes to be successful in this world today. According to the media, you need to have a million dollars, marry 10 people a week, and be able to act in a movie while simultaneously putting out a crappy pop album and hosting your own TV show to be successful. And you don't get that from telling your friends "good morning" every day and not putting down people no matter how unpopular they are.

Post subject:

Well, you know, Top, that's what society want's you to think. And well, society is wrong.

You don't need to be rich, mean, thin as a rail, blonde, dumb, marrying someone over hour on the hour, having a kid every other day, singing horribly, or acting even worse.

Have you ever heard: The meek shall inhereit the Earth.

Being modest and honest is the best way to go. Trust me. It'll all turn out alright in the long run.

Anyways, Rome wasn't built in a day. So success doesn't come in just one try.

Trust me, being a brat doesn't mean you have to be 'bad'. I mean, I'm a brat. Yeah, I like pranks and such. But it's all in good fun. I wouldn't hurt a person. I just like to have a good joke here and there.

Brats are not all 'bad'. It's just the ones that are, are the ones that get the most attention and set the stereotype of all brats being that way.

And with me, stereotypes are one of the worst things invented by the human race. Because none of them are 100% true.

Take me for example. I'm from the country. But I'm not ignorant, I do have all my teeth, I don't drink moonshine, and I don't pick people off from my front porch with a shot gun just because they come onto my property.

I use a mortor cannon. More effective. lol

Jokes aside, though. I hate stereotypes. Just hate them. They're sad excuses to pick on those who are different.

So...yeah. Being a brat is a negative thing. Just thought I'd let you. know.

Author:  Indigo Kitsune [ Sun Jan 07, 2007 7:17 am ]

Okay, to get you on the same brainwaves I'm on.

I'm not meaning a brat as in the actual meaning.

I'm meaning just a brat in the general sense. See, definitions ain't everything. You can't find everything in a dictionary.

I'm a brat. I have fun being a brat. I like coming up with pranks and wish someday to have a target to pull them on. I'm shy, quick witted at times, have a good sense of humor, and I'm a good guy. I don't see much bad in that. No negative.

Just think about for a second. Think outside the box.

Not everything has to be defined a definite way.

A brat can be anyone who desires to be so. I call myself a brat because I want to. I am a brat.

Brat: (noun) a person who expresses theirself in a way unique to only them, whether it be pranks, whining, boasting, just good humor, or anything

There's a real definition.

From a real brat.

My poll's not about dolls. It's about being a brat. And what kind of brat you are.

So, are you a brat? And if so, what kind of brat are you?

Now please, don't toastpaint this poll.

Well then, could you at least give a clear definition, or something? Because half of your sentences are glorifying brats, while the other half talk about all the bad things they do.

Alright, I'm starting to feel alone now. Being what I think is a real brat instead of what the Oxford Dictionary says a brat is, I do think I'm very much by myself here.

So, I want to know, outside of Oxford, what in the world do you all think a brat is exactly? Your own words. Don't you dare get them from a book. I want to know what that gray thing between your ears thinks a brat is.

Author:  bwave [ Wed Jan 10, 2007 8:13 pm ]
Post subject:

I just happen to agree with the oxford guys.

The definition you gave seemed more reminiscent of "prankster".

Author:  Indigo Kitsune [ Thu Jan 11, 2007 5:15 am ]
Post subject:

Outside of Oxford, mate. Please, just tell me what YOU think a brat is.

And trust me, not all 'pranksters' whine. Some of us just sulk or are smug.

Or like me, just completely enjoy the look on someone's face when that mouse trap I put in their shoe snaps on their big toe.

Like I said before, a brat is someone who expresses theirself in a way unique to them by doing ANYTHING. Not just whining.

Your talking about a spoilt brat. All they do is whine and throw fits because they don't get their way.

So please, mate, just tell me what YOU think a brat is, outside of the Oxford English Dictionary, outside of Webster's Dictionary, and outside of any book or written text.
