As both the topic and the question says, are you an introvert, or an extrovert? As much as I like talking about myself to strangers on the internet, I'm definitely introverted. I get both the shyness and the social phobia, at least in real life.

Just in case anyone doesn't know what the words mean, introvert=shy, and extrovert=outgoing.

Ehh....well, I'm kinda both. There's times when I'm very outgoing, but there are times when I just want to be all alone.

Introverted doesn't necessarily have to mean shy, from what I've read. It can also mean someone who can be very open and social some of the time, but who also needs "alone time" to recover from the social experience and just enjoy the company of themselves.

I'm an introvert more of the second variety--I don't have problems talking to people usually, I just generally prefer not to because I enjoy being by myself and just... thinking about things. Although I am definitely shy in some respects, I'm not the sort of person that flinches when I have to talk to someone.

I flourish on the Internet, though. Probably because I generally type a lot more eloquently than I speak.

I'm probably more of an introvert to inbetween. I think I'm pretty social, but I do have talking to brand-new people, or people that intimidate me in one way or another. But I can't go long without alone time - I can't be in constant human contact or else I go nuts. Thus, I turn down offers for cell phones and the like. And I think I could survive a long time without human interaction.

I am really outgoing. I have no problem talking to or making friends with new people. I also have no problem making a fool of myself because my friends know that I'm just wierd, funny and annoying.

I hate big crowds but I love meeting people. So, in-between.

I'm sort of in-between, since I was a very late bloomer socially.

Extrovert, all the way. I'm very outgoing.

In-between. I have a lot of friends at my school, but that's because most of the kids at my school are weirdos like I am. :p That means it might change by high school. In any case I never actually invite them over to my house or anything, and the two real-life outside-school friends I have I've known since I was like three, so yeah. In-between.

I'm definitely introverted. I can't spend more than 2 hours with people without a little me time. Especially at parties.

Depends on who I'm with. If it's someone I'm cool with, they might want me to shut up because I talk too much. If not, I'm really shy and awkward. And I like my alone time.

I've noticed myself becoming more and more introverted lately... which is okay, because I wasn't that extroverted to begin with.

That sounds like me. I'll flap my lips to no end if I'm with someone I like hanging out with. If not, though, I usually just don't say anything.

I'm an introvert. Talking to other people that I don't know is always really awkward. I'd rather that they just leave me alone.

Extrovert. 90% extrovert... Really, I took some test with that result...

Oh, another reason I'm in-between is I really talk to people online and such, but it's hard for me talking to people a lot older than me.

Funnily enough, I'm the opposite. I have an easy time talking to people older than me, but I find it difficult, usually, to relate to people the same age as me.

Similar with me.
If I am with people saying, "So, what color iTem are YOU going to get?" I don't say anything. They ask me why I'm so shy, but really I'm too busy thinking..."iPod, Pod Person. Coincidence? I think NOT!"
But if we are talking about mythbusters I talk ears off. Literally. It's gross. I help them put it back on, though.

What about the people younger than you? ;)

It's a little known fact that CT (City?) is zero years old. No one's younger than her.

I'm between in between and extrovert.
There's times when I need to be alone. But I think that's just human.

But most of the time I tend to break the ice and start conversation. I'm the type to walk up to somone and introduce myself if we haven't met. Whenever one of my friends brings someone I don't know to an event or party, or even just the lunch table, I'll always introduce myself and try to make them feel welcome.

For most of my life I was an introvert, and that didn't work out too well. So now I try to make others feel comfortable in awkward situations by being either humorous or engaging in friendly conversation. I find that if you're comfortable with other people, they will be comfortable with you.

I have that as well. my sister and and brother and I don't shut up when we're with people we're comfortable with, but we're all really shy otherwise.

:P Actually, I find it really seems to depend a lot more with younger people. Usually my main venue to talk to people younger than me is the Internet, but most people on the Internet I talk to are nerds. So usually it's not an issue. XD
