I switch off, but I use my left more often. |

I usually lay the book down on something and just alternate hands to keep the pages from flipping. |

I'm partial to my feet, if my right shoulder is out of commission. |

I tend to hold my book in my right hand if I'm in a spate of holding-books-with-one-hand... ing, so I can turn pages with my dominant left hand. But usually I lay my book down on something or hold it in both hands. |

I like reading books the best laying down--so i lay on my left side and hold with my right hand when reading the right sided pages, then i roll over when i get to the end of the page. Yeah, I know. When I read normally (and not as comfortably) I hold it with either hand, or often both. |

Well, it depends on what I'm reading. Whether it reads left to right, or right to left. |

I usually don't hold the book when it reads right to left--I lay it on the table so I can have my Hebrew dictionary in one hand. Amarta B'iyvrit, Ramrod? |

I was talking about things like Manga, which reads right to left. |

Am I the only one who uses both hands? I usually read laying down...

I hold books with two hands, but if I hold with one, it's usually my left. |

Hmm, I just held a book to test. I typically hold the left side of the book with my left side, and I hold it at the bottom of the page, halfway between the binding and the edge. With my right hand I hold the right side, on the right side of the book and about two-thirds of the way down. I switch positions a lot, though, but I usually use both hands. |

Me too! Ok, result: I use my right hand to hold it, and use my left hand to flip the pages. So I'll vote right |

I usually read laying down...I do that too. *points up* Now, however, due to my craving for pointless items, I really want a Thumb Thing. |

I usually either prop it up on something or use both hands. For instance, right now I'm attempting to read a compilation of Jules Verne's works while typing this post. It's propped up on my legs and the desk. (A narwhal? WHO WOULD'VE KNOWN, HUH?) |

I usually read laying down...You, my friend, are not alone, I use both, if I use one thought, it's normally my left... But I don't read while lying down... |

(A narwhal? WHO WOULD'VE KNOWN, HUH?) Hey! I do that sometimes too! I also use the edge of my desk to keep the pages flat...

I use both. I thought most people did...I flip with my right thumb, obviously, unless I'm reading manga, in which case I flip with my left.
But seriously, there needs to be a "both" option here. |

I meant I assume it's written in a language that reads right to left, because how could English be read that way? |

Generally I read lying down, and then mainly use my right hand to flip pages. When I'm not lying down, I usually use both hands. |
