Post subject:  Can You Swim?

I gave up on swimming lessons, but some friends taught me how to tread water.

I know how to not drown, so does that count as swimming?

once you've successfully had a shower, you know the basics. close your eyes and mouth when under the water.

lessons were always an embarrassing topic for me. i'm at level 4 and have been for years. Dad put me back to level 2 when I had passed level 3 and 4 in one semester. after that I always got moody about the topic and didn't try anymore.
yeah, I know the sayings. I was just really angry. I had passed 2 levels. I was put down 2 levels.

but I can swim. I don't drown. still, I don't like getting wet. it's just an icky feeling for me.

I'm okay. The thing that bugs me the most is having to show off my skinny white bod that you can still see my ribs on at a public pool, but when I did swim alot, I was all right.

I can swim, but probably not to the point where I can't still drown. Still love the vigorousness, though.

I can indeed swim. I look a bit froggish doing it, but it works quite well for me.

I like jumping off the diving board, closing my eyes, swimming back to the edge of the pool, and bonking my head cause my eyes were closed.

I don't swim "correctly", but whatever it is I do gets me from point A to point B in the water relatively well without dying, sometimes even in heavy surf.

If someone dropped me in the middle of a lake I'd doggy paddle as far as I could, but it's pretty inefficient and makes you tired quickly. I'd wind up taking a nap. =P

I was on a swim team in 8th grade (two years ago), so yeah I know how to swim :p I don't like swimming pools though. Chlorine is evil ._.

Well, I took instructional swimming in my single digit years, and I still take it when I'm at camp, and I'm in a lake.

I'm decent at it. I just can't front crawl in a perfectly straight line.

I think it's better than running, cause you don't feel as sweaty and moist.

But my schedule doesn't grow on trees, so I don't have much space to fit in swimming in the week.

I've always loved water. I even swam in the womb. It was a very nice pool.

I can swim well enough not to sink. I remember it took me until I was nine or ten to learn to tread water, though.

I can swim. Not the way people are supposed to swim, I suppose, but like Inverse, what I do gets me through the water all right, so I guess it works.

No, I don't. I mean swimming, not thrashing.

I learned the basics of swimming the summer after 3rd grade, and I've adored it ever since.

I'm not very fast, nor do I have much stamina, but I do it anyway. It is very hard to remove me from a pool after I enter one.
