(This is not a homestar runner poll. Everybody thank me.)
Ok, so how do you view spiders? Scarediness? Weirdiness? Respectedness? Collesness? (somehow those didn't come out quite right...)
Personally, I think spiders are cool because they kill harmful insects, yet I don't really like them crawling on me.

I voted the middle option. I'm not a huge fan of spiders, but I don't necessarily loathe them, either, and I've gotten somewhat used to handling some of the ones we'll get in at the pet store where I work (really just Rose-Haired Tarantulas).

As long as there are no spiders near me, I'm fine with them.

I find a delightful irony in smacking a spider with an entomology textbook.

The only spiders that I am scared of are ones that can kill me. If I see a spider with an hourglass on it's abdomen, it will get a quick introduction to my size 14 shoes.

I voted the second option, but I should have voted in the middle.

Same here. I'm glad they get read of insects, but I'm not fond of them being on me.

I kinda like spiders. I'll only be scared of one if it's poisonous. Or if it decides to crawl up my leg. Ever felt something crawling really quickly up your leg and looked to find it was a big red spider? I have. It scared the crap out of me.

They're okay. I just don't want to be anywhere near them.

Daddy long legs seem to creep me out the most.

There's something about spiders that just causes me to freak out when one in on me. I can just tolerate them when I'm just watching them spin webs, or devour enormous moths, but I hate when they're on me. Let me tell you a short story of my experiences at camp.

First day of camp: While I was trying to sleep, this kid in my bunk wouldn't stop banging this big wooden stick so he could tick me off. After he stopped banging the stick, he found a Daddy Long Leg, and threw it on me. I jumped down from my bunk and tried to get it off. But I couldn't tell where it was, so I just kept trying.

Apparently this was very hilarious to the other 4 people in my bunk...until I just started bawling because of that reason. This one Space Cadet in my bunk still liked to just shout "Spider!" and start cracking up even if I don't even react.

I guess I became more scared of spiders prior to this incident when I pulled this little spider out of my hair.

Is there any psychological cure for arachnophobia (even if it's Daddy Long Legs?)

I like most spiders. We get along pretty well. My favorite spider genus is Habronattus, which are these little fuzzy jumping spiders. The wikipedia picture makes it look big, but it's really less than an inch across from one tip of the leg on one side to the opposite tip. They're fun to watch if you see one outside somewhere. There was this one I got into a staring contest with. I think I won?

The exception: running into a giant web. That really sucks, tho it bothers me less these days.

Spiders are just creatures; I don't pay attention to them.

Nothing weird about them.

It would be ironic if you smacked spiders with a Spider Lover's Handbook or a How-To Take Care of Your Spider book or something to that effect.

I'm so afraid of spiders that I don't have the guts to kill them. =S

I see nothing wrong with spiders. I don't know why so many people do.

They're not the best thing ever, they're not the most horrible thing in existence. They're just...spiders. Meh.

Most kinds around my house I'm fine with, but daddy long legs freak me out, though that fear has been diminishing as of late.

I hate spiders mostly because I got a spider bite about 3 months ago and you can still see it. I'm not scared of them, but I smoosh the crap out of any I see.

Entomology is the study of insects. Spiders eat insects. I find it amusing that the things they devoured are now splattering them across the ceiling, in a way.

I really hate spiders, as they freak me out whenever they get close. I was cleaning out my room several days ago, and two popped out of nowhere. I killed one of them, and when I thought I killed the other one, it ended up jumping on me several times, causing my body to spaz for a second.

I like spiders and bugs in general.

I just don't like surprise spiders and bugs, like when you pick up something off the floor and there's one underneath it, and the like.

Spiders are interesting, but like a lot of people here, I don't like to suddenly find one under/in something, or have one on me.

Linz doesn't care about spider people.

"Get rhythm... spider... He is our hero! Spider... Step on Spider!"

Worst TMBG song ever.
