I'm more a metric kind of guy.

Metric makes waaaaay more sense.

Yeah, I prefer metric too, but I'd never be able to switch to it in everyday life - like, what's 90 km/hr, fast or slow? And 30 degrees Celsius sounds cold.

30 C is like 100 F
100 KM/H is 60 M/H

It's seriously not that hard.

I like it best AND use it the most.


Metric is easier to use when you have to do conversions, but I still like Imperial better. I've used it all my life and I am most familiar with the units.

Of course, when it comes to mass, I prefer the kilogram. I understand what a kilogram is. A slug, not so much.

Er, if 37 C is 98.6 F, then how is 30 C 100 F? And I thought that the mid-20 C range was room temperature.

Anyway, I like metric, but I can't really make sense of the measurements. I wish that the U.S. weren't Imperial.

1000 milliliters to a liter? That's WAAY to confusing!

3 teaspoons to a tablespoon, 2 tablespoons to an ounce, 8 ounces to a cup (unless you're talking weight, where it's 16 ounces to a pound), 2 cups to a pint, 2 pints to a quart, 4 quarts to a gallon, that makes WAY more sense! Now excuse me, I have to eat my Big Mac while watching Popular Reality Show now.

Metric. Unfortunately, the Imperial system is so embedded in my mind that there's no way I could ever switch. Plus everyone else uses it, so whadya gonna do.

30= Hot(ish)

In Canada, we never even learn imperial. The only place we use it all the time is when we're talking about our heights (only for people). If someone wanted me to give them a measure in feet, the only way I'd be able to make an estimate is to imagine Subway subs.

It's really good for temperatures, because 20 degrees plus and minus actually feel like they're opposite temperatures.

Lastly, it's super easy to convert measurements in metric, all you have to do is move the decimal.

30 is boiling. Our summer temperature in Ottawa is usually around 25, but almost never over 30.

being Australian and all, the man wants me to use Metric (I think), but miles and pounds is so much easier to pronounce. and they're only about one half of the other, maybe add one.

I use mostly metric, but for human height and weight imperial is better. I can picture a 6' tall person much easier than a 200-cm tall person, even though they're almost the same height. Likewise I have no idea how many kilograms I weigh.

Celsius temperature is super easy. Just add 10 degrees to get to the next area of warmth.
-20: oh god my face is frozen
-10: really cold
0: cold
10: cool
20: warm
30: hot
40: oh god my face is melting

Metric. Imperial doesn't make as much sense. Besides, America is like the only country that uses Fahrenheit now.

Metric. It just makes more sense. Although, I pretty much always use imperial for human height, just because.
