A representitive from Disney visited the art school I was atending & told everyone who'd dreamed of working there that employess are only permitted to work on one film & then are let go. 3 of the girls in my class were crushed. I didn't care, because I've had a beef with Disney for several reasons. |

I'd just like it if they made more traditionally animated movies like they used to. I miss movies like Aladdin and the Lion King. |

I doubt that that's true with John Lasseter having a big chair up in corporate. All Disney needs to do is start making the movies like the old ones. And looks like they are. |

Other - If John Lasseter became CEO. Wait, what do you mean that already happened? Well, then, that's taken care of, isn't it? |

Whoever said to stop the musicals - shut up, mang. The lack of musicals is one of the bad things. There's always at least one awesome song from every one of those. Hellfire from Hunchback is the best out of the whole lot. |

Either stop making crappy sequels, or go back to TRADITIONAL animation. Pixar doesn't need Disney anyway. |

Dear lord, there are at least four good suggestions in that lot. I can't just choose one. EDIT: I choose 2, 4, 8, 10, and 11. Please. |

That's what I picked, too. But even after I narrowed it down, I was still caught between it and "Make good live action movies" and "stop making horrible sequels". Tough call. |

The problem is, instead of making like action movies LIKE the ones they did in the 1960's, they ended up making THE SAME movies they did back then, only they changed them all to make them suck. For example: The Absent-Minded Professor --> Flubber (with Robin Williams). IT'S NOT EVEN THE SAME FREAKING STUFF ANYMORE!! Also, quit making movies about theme park rides (That's right, Eddie Murphy, I'm talking to you). |

Tower of Terror was a ride-based movie made in the 90's, and I quite enjoyed it. For the most part, though, those are some terribly plotted movies. |

They need to do a lot more than what I put down, but what I chose was the humor that was evident when Walt was around. They need to do all of the above, though. |

Most certainly. Disney these days has really let itself go. I hate when they make stuff like 'the emperor's new school' where its quite obvious the only reason they made it was to get on the good side of parents by putting the word 'school' in the title. Plus most of their shows based on movies or video games are all stink. |

No more sequels. There are not three stories about Cinderella! |

I voted for "movies everyone can enjoy", but I also firmly back the options of "no more cruddy sequels" and "gb2 traditional animation". It is art. And while cg can be art too, churning out pixar clones isn't. Disney, you used to be good. You've lost your spark. Pixar has it now. Please listen to them and get some of it back. |

Disney would be cooler if it would BACK THE [expletive of your choice here] OFF and not screw with the educational system. I can't remember if I've said this in another thread or whatever, but I live in Florida, east coast or thereabouts. I'm currently a high school student. And thanks to The Mouse (and the rest of the tourism industry), our school year got shifted to start two weeks later than it normally would - on August 20th rather than August 8th. Now, that sounds awesome, right? Longer summer, more time to enjoy that August sunshine at the beach rather than stuck in some stuffy classroom; what's not to love? Everything. The state is incredibly retarded. They shift our year two weeks but don't adjust any other dates, like state-mandated standardized testing/essay writing dates, meaning we have less time to prepare for FCAT and apparently those scores are all that matter. Seriously, teachers' bonuses depend on FCAT scores. I think. They did at some point. Anyway, there were a lot of theories flying around regarding the year shift, and it boils down to tourism. Those two weeks in August are still prime tourist season, and places like Disney and the smaller attractions throughout the state employ high school students over the summer, as do the lifeguards. And with the year starting at the beginning of August, a lot of employees are being pulled from work to go back to school because they're required to by law. So, rather than have people who are no longer in school to work for that 2-3 week turnover between the summer hordes and the fall...smaller hordes, they decide to screw the students over. And since tourism is the reason behind screwing us all, there's no way we're going to get the old year setup back, because you can't fight Disney and win. They're Disney, they'll do whatever the [insert expletive of your choice] they want and if you've got a problem with that, they have the cash to have you snuffed and cover it up for decades. I don't know what we're going to do for those last two weeks - all of the IB/AP tests are done by mid-May, the place where we usually have graduation is unavailable after roughly Memorial Day Weekend because they're locked in a multimillion-dollar contract with some company or another... Meh, maybe when FCAT scores fall dramatically due to lack of time to prepare the state will fix this atrocity. Even just one more week would've been nice. [/rant] |

Additionally, for shame with saying that Disney "ruined" Laputa and various other studio ghibli movies. You know why? While it's Disney technically that claims responsibility for doing the English voices, it is in fact Lassester and the pixar voice peoples that did all the work

Regarding Disney Movies: I wish they would stop wasting their money on dozens of crappy, low-budget, uncalled-for sequels when they could use it to make a few decent films. Regarding Disney TV Channels: My number one complaint would be about the crappy teenager bands that Disney seems to like to throw together. Raven's employment for any sort presentation is a close runner up. FIRE RAVEN AND STOP MAKING BANDS! |

I voted for going back to making films that the WHOLE family can enjoy. Freaking horrible sequels comes at a close second though. |

Their older movies were the best. They didn't seem so afraid to make them violent. The Lion King was (and still is) my favorite. |

They stopped making High School Musical. I know I'll hear about it from somebody, but you have got to be kidding me if you think that that is entertainment. |

It would've been boring as swear word if it had been realistic in any respect, seriously. Besides, the 13-and-under crowd that the HSM franchise is directed toward wouldn't believe them if they portrayed high school like it is in real life, with those weird "class" things and teachers that aren't bumbling idiots and silly things like that. My only consolation is that all of those kids who watch these shows/movies will someday actually get to high school (probably) and their dreams and assumptions will be absolutely crushed. However, I won't be there to witness it, and this makes me sad. |

In the Disney World guide for 2006, no joke, it says [something similar to] Quote: We honestly admit, Stitch's Great Escape is not the best work of our Disney Imagineers. However, it is very popular, so it is recommended that you arrive early. Or something like that. When the park itself knocks its own attraction, you know it's not good. However, rejoice I will. I hear rumors of Alien Encounter coming to Disney's California Adventure sometime soon.

Great Escape is funny, but not that great. Still, I'll probably ride it again next time I'm there. It's a lot better than what it replaced, though. That thing just wasn't Disney. Also, it scared the bejeezus out of me. To me, Disney would be cooler if they re-released Song Of The South, unedited, unpolitically-corrected, just in its original form. |
