Since many of us are now getting well into the time of the year when this is a common issue, I was wondering how often you all get sunburns?

For me, even with some type of sunblock on, I'm bound to get at least partially burned quite quickly. Heck, last week when I helped out with our school mulch sale, I was burned a slight bit with a low UV index and some slight overcast.

EDIT: I don't feel like it'd be a good poll option, but you can also mention if you tan easily and such.

I've only been burned, like once or twice, so I guess I'll vote for very little.

I don't think I've ever been burned, and I'm outside a lot. Even when I go to the beach all day, I don't burn.

I have really pale skin, so you'd think I get sunburned a lot, but it's so pale that it's actually kept me from getting sunburned when I should have - I've made putting on sunblock such a habit that I rarely get burned anymore. Kinda ironic. So, very little.

Despite being pretty pale, I can't think of a time when I've gotten sunburnt. I think it happened once though. Perhaps that one time when I was at SeaWorld. I think I don't get sunburnt often because I pretty much stay inside all of the time

I'm Irish and Polish. Therefore, I burn a LOT.

I don't burn too easily, and I'm rarely out in the sun without sunscreen for long enough for it to be an issue. I don't think I got burned at all this summer. Maybe once or twice.

But once I lay on my stomach on the beach for several hours. The next day, my legs were so badly burned that I couldn't walk properly. And then they tanned, and stayed tanned for a year.

^ this

Also, while I'm chalk-pale naturally, when it gets hot out I love to just be in the sun and soak up all the rays. So at the beginning of the summer, I burn like crazy, but by the end I'm too tanned to burn despite the fact that I never wear sunblock.

Unfortunately, it's still THE NORTH POLE in New Jersey. I'm getting really sick of waiting for spring to roll around, considering that it's SPRING BREAK THIS WEEK.

I'm Polish and Scandinavian, so I do get sunburned if I don't wear copious amounts of sunscreen, which I do.

I remember the last time I seriously had it, and it sucked butt, so uncomfortable.

It was raining.

Nope, never. I tan from about 2 seconds in the sun but never burn.

There is a down side though, this winter I can look forward to disgusting yellow skin as the tan fades away.

I hate it when I get awkward sunburns.

Like sometimes if I'm playing lacrosse I'll get sunburned in little places where the pads don't cover my arms.

It sucks.

I have yet to experience this, though I'm sure that I will eventually.

I usually wear pretty thick sunblock, but when I forget, I get burned (unless I'm pretty tan already, of course).

Usually in baseball when I play catcher, my face becomes all red, except for where the bars on the mask blocked the sun.

It looks weird.

I occasionally get sunburned. I never wear sunscreen, but I still don't get sunburned that often.

On one of the three occasions I went to the beach, I didn't have sunscreen on my back, so it got burnt extremely badly. But, other than that, I only get burned on my face if I'm outside all day.

I live in the lower mainland of British Columbia, so hot, scorching sun is hard to come by. But when it does appear, or when I go on vacation, a sunburn is a rare sight. So I chose the "very little" option. I'm pretty good with remembering to wear sunscreen, and I've also inherited some native american skin from my ancestors, which makes gives me a higher tolerance to the sun, unlike my pale, pale sister. :p

The sun is not merciful towards redheads like me, however, I try to put some sunscreen on and stay in the shade when outdoors.

I never wear sunscreen. I get sunburned occasionally... but when I do, I tan right on up.

I don't burn much.

Probably because I hide away in the darkness most of the time.

Your "lacrosse" lacks overall largeness...and it isn't nearly sunburned enough.
