What's your favorite of the old Super Mario Bros. games for the NES? I'd have to say... SMB 3, maybe.

3 all the way.

3 had more levels, more powers, more secrets, and more fun than the other two combined.

Where's Lost Levels?

I'll have to say Super Mario Bros. 3, but the original was just as good in its own, nostalgic way.

They're pretty much tied between SMB and SMB3, so...3, because it had lots more stuff in it.

Well, the Lost Levels was actually the original SMB 2, originally released only in Japan. It would not be released abroad until it was released in SM All-Stars; not only was it too much like the original SMB (which meant having two of the same thing could get stale), but it was a heck of a lot harder, which also prolonged its release abroad.

I meant where it was for this poll. Lost Levels is available on the Virtual Console in most, if not all regions, so people still have the chance to play it and say if it was their favorite in the "Bros." series.

You haven't seen the latest video of Angry Video Game Nerd, have you?
(I'm not posting the link, it is NSFW and possibly offensive to Christians)

Super Mario Bros 3 is one of the best platformers ever created.

How could Super Mega Death Christ 2000 B.C 4.0 Beta possibly be offensive to ANYBODY?

Well, everyone's entitled to an opinion, I guess.

You know, I have Super Mario All-Stars, so I have all of these games plus Lost Levels, and the only one I ever played through to the end was SMB2. I've also never gotten past the desert levels on SMB3. I mean, I've warped past it, but I never actually defeated that world. Never finished the game, either. Over the summer I'll do it.

I never actually liked the original SMB.

I voted SMB3, though, because that game IS awesome, though I've never really played all the way through it.

It's rare? :( Or are you nit-picking the fact that I didn't say 'Super Mario World'? Because if you are, you get this --

Hey, I've got All-Stars too.

I usually skip a few of SMB3's worlds anyway. The only one I've ever completed playing every level through was a remake of SMB, the Deluxe edition or whatever for GBC. But I've never ever seen the ending of SMB2 despite warping through half the game. I could never beat Wart's Castle. I could probably do it now, but eh...

Super Mario Bros. I used to play this and SMB 3 back in the day, but now I have them for Game Boy. I got so used to running through the levels in SMB that in 3, my timing is always off and it drives me nuts when I die 5 seconds in,trying to zoom through the level.

I think TheFacelessEvil was talking about the version on SM All-Stars, which I also own. And I also have the Game Boy Advance version of SMB3 (and also the Advance version of SMW).
