Friday the thirteenth was my dad's birthday.

I guess he was born in 1958.

I like to play around with being supersticious about the weather. Four years of outdoor rowing in highschool in which only weather of apocalyptic proportions cancel practice, we hated to have anything other than perfect, so of course people jinxed it all the time

I've broken a mirror by accident, spilled salt, lit three candles with one match, opened umbrellas indoors to make forts, waved at black cats that crossed my path, walked under ladders for fun and I'm the happiest, pranciest, grinniest person during Friday the 13th.

AND BELIEVE ME I AM STILL ALIVE.

Somethings I'm superstitious about (like petrol prices), other things are too stupid and pretty much are jokes.

I'm not superstitious at all. I believe in only one source of the supernatural, and it is not arbitrary and random at all. Science covers the rest for me.

*would break a mirror except that would be expensive to replace.*

I sat with my cat under a ladder last Friday (the 13th).

It's not a black cat but you get the idea.

I once saw a large ladder in my school's band room. I crawled under it 13 times.

Only of my "reverse jinxing". It's worked numerous times before. Like one day, there was a 5% chance of rain, but I wanted it to rain really badly, so I said "I hope it doesn't rain today". Seconds later, it started pouring rain. I don't like it that way, so I said "I hope it keeps raining like this". It stopped within a minute.

Yeah, I'm not really superstitious.

That effort's not worth it.
