What was the first version of Firefox you ever used? I think mine was the 0.8 era.

Firefox 3 doesn't even let me pull down the window all the way. Image

I still have an old copy of the Windoze version of Mozilla Firebird 0.6 on a backup CD somewhere. I got it in late 2003. I have used it since before it became popular, but I would often switch between it and other browsers (e.g., Mozilla Application Suite).

Also, I had 1.5 first, then waited forever to update because I like 1.5's skin better than 2's.

That's not Firefox's fault, it's the fault of the creators of the toolbar... they'll update it very soon, I'm sure, though. They don't really even need to update it; they just have to change a setting that says it will work for Firefox 3.

I know it was less than 1, but it was definitely called Firefox, so I guess 0.8 or 0.9. I'm on 2.something and I don't think I'll be upgrading with all the stuff I've been hearing about 3.

I like 3.

What did you hear about it? Besides the fact that half of the add-ons aren't compatible with it?

Well the cosmetic changes are going to take some getting used to as well.

I do really like the URL bar though; it's dead sexy.

I don't know, but I think it was 1. Because I kind of remember upgrading to 1.5. Or, wait, no, I think it was 1.5, I had, and then I upgraded to 2? Yeah, that's it. That's how it all went down.

Actually, now that I think about it, I believe I had Firefox right before they moved to 2...I remember upgrading to some number 1.0.9.3 or whatever.

I agree with this guy here. I like the look, but the functionality? It's way off. Unless it needs to be calibrated or something by my general searchings or whatever. We'll see in a week or so. I do like most everything else, though.

But seriously, what's the deal someone said about not letting the window go down all the way? I don't know what that is.

He was probably referring the dock on Macs, and how it probably gives you a bit of dead space to the left and right of it. (EDIT: k I guess it is).

I'm loving Firefox 3, though. The address bar works just like I wanted it to; it feels quick and easy to just type a word I tagged to a bookmark to bring up the address. I also like how it provides more details to each suggested website in the address bar.
