The next computer I get will be linux. I have a problem though:
There are too many distributions! I'm trying to find one that is
easy to use, flexible, and resembles Windows Vista/XP.
Which distribution do you recommend?

I can only recommend Debian since that's the only one I've used.

I'm goin' Ubuntu myself, as it's the one I've had the least amount of problems with.
It has a great support forum, too.

I'll be honest, though: getting stuff to install is near-impossible.

I'm getting my tablet installed/set-up, but it needs the tcl/tk to finish, and no matter if I'm normal, root, or root w/environment, I get a permission denied prompt when I try to install said tcl/tk.

I started with Mandrake Linux (now Mandriva Linux) in early 2004. I then experimented with various distributions (e.g., Fedora, Debian, Ubuntu, and in early 2006, SUSE). I currently use Ubuntu.
