So which do you prefer? I'm a pie fan myself. Although cake can be amazingly delicious Ive had too many sub par cakes to like them better. Pie on the other hand is hard to mess up and as such all pies have a similar experience quality wise. I love pie so much that I eat birthday pie instead of cake. |

Cake is just plain better, especially with icing. Pie falls apart and has too much sweetness concentrated in one place, with the boring pastry on the outside. Cake is thick and spongy and has its taste spread evenly throughout it. |
