So about 2 hours ago, I took an hour long nap.
Finally, I opened my eyes. I could see everything clearly... everything real that was in the room, not hallucinations.
I tried to stretch but I couldn't move. Couldn't talk either.
Now, this is not the first time this has happened to me. Usually I'll still have my eyes closed but remain lucid to the environment around me, still not being able to move.
I know this is a natural part of sleep, but everyone I've asked about it says they've never had that happen to them.
Has anything like this ever happened to you?

No. That sounds creepy.

Jeez, I could've sworn this has ABP'd, but I can't find it anywhere. Ah well.

It's never happened to me, but at times I've known I'm dreaming and try to open my eyes, but just can't. It's kinda weird. Completely different thing, though, of course.

Gah sorry, I'm usually good at searching for things but I kinda forgot to this time...

No, that's never happened to me. And I would like it never to happen in the future, please.

How long were you just sitting there? Are we talking a couple of minutes or an hour or two?

I've heard of this before, but it's not happened to me. Maybe it will when I least expect it. I've read enough on the Internet to not freak out if it does, though. I'll be confused at first, but I'll probably work it out. Won't have a whole lot else to do.

So, no, I've never experienced this.

It was about 30 seconds to a minute.

I have experienced it once. I knew it was normal, but it was still creepy. The problem was it was a school day and I couldn't move for about 2 minutes maybe. So it wasn't very long so I guess it wasn't really much of a problem, but it was still weird.

It was posted back in 2005, I think.

I do not recall having this ever happen to me.

Whenever it was made, it was definitely active sometime last year. I'm sure of it. I just can't remember enough about it to find it. Maybe it was in GTKY and the Purge stole it away.

It has happened to me a lot, especially if I've taken something to get me to sleep.
Also I have a lot of lucid nightmares, usually not nice peaceful dreams, but nightmares. Luckily I can wake myself up. :D

Wow Ninti, even your DREAMS suck. You'd think you would just have a crappy body.

I have had this happen, but only once. I was about 10 at the time. I think I posted it in the weird dreams thread.

I had a nightmare where I was drowning, then I woke up and couldn't move or open my eyes. I was lying there for a good 5 minutes, and I actually thought I was dead.
I finally was able to move my body in the end, but I had to use my hands to force my eyes open because they wouldn't open otherwise. It was a very weird and scary experience.

I'm going to trade in my body for a new one, it's immune system isn't working right.
I want a refund.

Yes, actually. I was sixteen and it only lasted a few seconds, but that was enough. It felt like a ghost or something was watching me the whole time too. Creepy.

I feel like this has happened to me before. More often though, is that I wake up feeling completely lost or disoriented, but not in the normal "oh, I'm just tired" way. It's really weird.

I think I've gotten something like that. My vision blurs, and I almost fall down.

It's never happened, but I've heard of it. A friend of mine does it all the time. Like, he'll see his friend come in, but will be unable to move or do anything. And then he'll ask his friend later on what he was doing in his room and his friend will tell him he doesn't know a thing.

I think this has happened to me but never while my eyes are open.

This happens to me a lot during the school months and lasts for a minute or two. I'll wake up and not be able to read the clock or remember certain things like where I am, what I'm supposed to do that day (school, obviously), stuff like that.
