Man, this was a hard poll! I like all of those characters. So, I picked my favorite SSBM character which is Peach. Though I have to admit that I am very cheap when it comes to her. This especially annoys my friends who all think that I "cheat". I tell them that I am not "cheating" but instead I am "winning". They are hard to convince. Guess I'll have to win again to show them.

That sounds a lot like me and my friends. So what move do you use to be cheap? Smash down A?

Actually, I overuse her forward+b move. I think it's called the Peach bomb or something like that. I don't use it under the stages though. That's where the real cheapness comes into play. In fact, some tournament have banned the usage of the peach bomb under the stage because it is so cheap. I mostly use a "hit and run" strategy, where I use the peach bomb while my friends are fighting each other in a close group. Then, I float away before I take too much damage. My friends also hate her parasol move because I use it to float back onto the stage after they blast me away. I could have 200% damage, be knocked up, and still use the parasol much to the disappointment of my friends. ;)

Could you explain the Peach Bomb under the stage trick? Because I would love to be even more cheap to my friends. As for the parosol, I actually use her float trick more. I'll be falling, and Marth are somebody will be waiting at the bottom. They anticipate my landing and begin a sword swipe. Then, I float for a half-second, then come down and clobber them. It doesn't work as often as you'd think, though. But usually my favorite character to use is Luigi.

Oops...
I meant when she gets hit hard enough to end up in the air, almost to the point of the horizon. Though that is funny. I guess that I should reread my posts before posting them.

As for MagicHero's question, the peach bomb under the stage move requires a stage that is possible to get under, and that slants down. Kirby's Fountain of Dreams is a particulary good stage for this. When you execute the peach bomb, Peach moves forward a little bit. This movement can allow her to "float" while she's bombing another character under the stage. The slant of the stage allows for the character to not go so far, so that she can bomb the character again without having to float to the character or without the character attacking her. She can do this move forever, or until the character dies. Then, she could still get back onto the stage if you haven't used all her jumps. I got this strategy off of the GameFAQS SSBM message board, but that was a while ago and I couldn't find the topic again.

That's cool, Rob of the Sky. I'll have to try it sometime. I used to go on the GameFAQs smashboards as well, but it's getting old to me now. By the way, what is your username on GameFAQs?

My name on GameFAQS is *gasp* Rob of the Sky. However, I haven't posted there in well over a year. I guess I got tired of the boards myself. There are too many trolls on those boards to really enjoy them. I guess I should merge my account before it's too late. After all, the boards of some of the older games aren't that bad. Let me know if that trick works. I'm wanting to try that myself, however, my roomate didn't bring his TV back after Christmas, so I won't be able to play for a while.

Sup Peach buddy. Your friends are just ashamed at losing to such a supposedly weak character. Personally, I don't use the Peach Bomb a lot. I like to stay on the other side of the field and annoy people with turnips. Then smash 'em if they get too close.

Oh, dude... so many good choices... pressure... hard to breathe (wheeze!)
Seriously. Between Link and Samus. They're both so awesome. But I had to choose one, so I went with Link.

Here's a fun fact.

The person that voices Cortana in Halo and Halo 2 also voices Peach, Daisy, and Toad in the Mario games!

Cloud!!

I semi-agree with you there.

Cloud is great, but how about the entire ensemble of characters (all 20) from Final Fantasy III/VI for the SNES/PSOne?

I choose Link. I started being a Video Game Adict with Ocarina of Time, and Zelda has been my favourite series ever. Though in SSBM, I ussually use Marth, and practice landing a tipper(when he does more damage). I seem to have mastered it on his air down A...getting off topic. Anyways, some of my other favorties have to be Yoshi, Luigi, and Samus. Incase you haven't noticed, i ussualy play RPG's. Go ToS!

My favorite Nintendo character is Luigi.
I use him in every game. I would use him in Mario Golf, in Mario Kart (both of them), in Mario Party, Super Smash Brothers.
I don't know why I like him, other than he's cool. I guess.

Luigis cool too. Mario's an idiot. He fat and don't jump as high. I guess he's for beginers, but if you start with him, it will be hard to learn the art of the "Luigi Jump". Sure it's a little more freeform, bu you get the hang of it. And the cape helps. Get a cape, and its easier to control. And Yoshi Destroys his jump.(That was all about Super Mario World on GAMEBOY)

Your avatar, Jyarra...

Is it Isaac from Golden Sun? (A mighty fine, but difficult game.)

Yes it is. I looked for Mikau (before song of Healing), couldn't find it though. I'll find it when I'm not lazy at the moment. Golden Sun isn't very easy, the truth. Try beating Dullahan without summons, see how that treats you :) I did it after 2 hours....

I just can't beat the final boss, no matter how hard I try. Is there a trick to it, or what?

I don't think anyone's said this yet, but my Fav SSBM character is Jigglypuff. A lot of people just call it a weaker Kirby, but her "B" button move can be deadly.... and her throws are nice too. Besides, the cute little bow just throws my enemies off guard...

I've nicknamed Jigglypuff "Samurai Jiggy"
LOL, just make sure it is wearing the headband...
BTW, all the SSBM charecters are good, it depends if you can do their stradegies or not eficiently. I like Marth for speed and slight power(or just power with a tipper), and Sheik for speedy combos. Jiggys kinda like an annoyer in SSBM.
I'm best with Marth, Link, Ice Climbers, and Sheik. Also Falco and Luigi, plus Mewtwo. The lower on the list, the less good i am with them.

The original. I didn't want to get the sequel until I beat the original, and I never beat the original, so...

I'm able to beat Saturos and whoever, but then they turn into that dragon-type thing, and it just kills me.
