In other news, Ringo and George have cool websites. Yep. Pete Best has a cool website also! You can also sign his guestbook! By the way, does anyone know if Stuart Sutcliffe has a website? I think it deserves to be posted here. TOTPD!

I don't know why all the Brian Epstein. It's a bit of a minor meme with me. Brian Epstein. Brian Epstein. Brian Epstein. ...oh great, now I've summoned Brian Epstein. Um...hey Brian, get me a danish? ...or not. Toastpants. (insert something here about the Traveling Wilburys. my brain's sort of off... um, sort of off at the moment. obviously.) |

I don't know who who is... What I do know, is that today it's exactly 25 years ago that John Lennon was shot. |

I divided between Paul, John and George. Ringo is a crappy drummer, so there is no way I'm voting for him. |

Ah well. I concede that Ringo is cool, but still gotta give props to George for being the greatest human being ever. *ahem* Incidentally (being a somewhat random-minded girl, I have given this a little thought), if I had to marry one of the Beatles, I'd pick Ringo. Paul just inexplicably bugs me. John isn't exactly a great family man (cheated on his first wife then left her, had little contact with his son Julian until about a year before he got shot - and remember, he took "a break from music" so he could "be a good father" for his second son, Sean (Simpsons quote: "Maybe I should just give up on Lisa and start over with Maggie").). And as for my favorite, George - well, George is clearly just too good for me. Ringo, however, is fun, funny, huggable, and easy to get along with. So yeah, I'm-a have to go with Ringo on this one. Though, long as we're talking in theoreticals, I might as well just get George to set me up with Tom Petty. The hotness... *drools* |

I'm-a go with George. We have a special connection: He died on my 13th birthday! Seriously, look it up. But I do have to give props to all the other Beatles: John for being The Man (I've been to Strawberry Fields in New York; it's across the street from a subway station...and the Dakota!), Paul for his songwriter-itude (& the best bass guitar ever), & Ringo for just...being Ringo! |

Aww yeah. Behold the power of George. A few more supporters and soon we shall have overtaken that bastion of evil, William-- err, I mean, Paul McCartney. *shifty eyes* I see however, that Ringo (the great blue-eyed hope!), e'en with all his supporters, has yet to wrest the lead from the (insert preferred degree of overratedness here) John Lennon. Will awesome win out over the mainstream? Stay tuned! |

Not quite on-topic, but something that I thought was relevant: "We reckoned we could make it because there were four of us. None of us could've made it alone, because Paul wasn't quite strong enough, I didn't have enough girl appeal, George was too quiet, and Ringo was the drummer. But we thought that everyone would be able to dig at least one of us, and that's how it turned out." -John Lennon I love Uncle John's Bathroom Reader. |

I chose John... not Yoko. Besides, I like the stuff he did prior to meeting that talentless golddigger. |

But John himself chose Yoko, which means by choosing John you are choosing Yoko by proxy. P'0wned! And they met in like, '68 or so, which means you only like the Beatles' work (at least where Lennon songwriting credits are concerned) until before the white album, and absolutely nothing of John's solo career...which hey, may be true. But how can you deny the awesome that is Abbey Road? ...besides, everyone knows that Paul is the one who broke up the Beatles, and is funding a massive media conspiracy to pin the whole thing on Yoko.

Just kidding, he doesn't count. If I had to pick my favorite Beatle, I'd probably go with John Lennon, though my dad met Ringo. BLAGHAGHAGHAGHAGHAGHGHA! AAAGGHGHHGGHGHGHGHGH! Yeah, nobody likes Pete Best. or that other guy whose name I can't remember. Oh, and I like Georgethe most, then John and Ringo very much so, but for no apparent reason I absolutely hate Paul. And I kinda dislike John for marrying Yoko, though he was still cool when he was married to her. |
