Do you download it or something, and does it cost money, cause if it does, my parents won't be paying for it, and they will say it messes up my compy. I'll look it up right now. On the Wikipedia. EDIT: TOTPD!

I haven't used that other terrible bowser for three years now. only three weeks for me. it still angers me that whenever I open up my folder, it's in IE. i'm probably just being paranoid, but i really want to get an iBook. too much money, though. the only job my mom has suggested is paper rounds. |

Definitely Firefox the majority of the time, though IE isn't really bad like people say. It's just that for the longest time, it didn't work at all on my compy up here. |

Homsar22 wrote: ready for prime time wrote: P.S. anyone using other browsers tell me the name and i will add them to the list, i want to know the name of the linux browser. The linux browser? that depends, most of the distro's come with firefox, but KDE has a built in browser. KDE's built-in browser is called "Konqueror" I use Firefox, cause it's just better, and less vulnerable to viruses and the like. (of course with linux the chances of getting a virus are practically nil anyways).

really? well, i'd use my linux live disk but it won't connect to the internet. i mostly use it to play Falcon's Eye. why did i use firefox? well, i like it because it has built in bug busting, virus protection, i should say, and biult in search engine bar. not to mention plugins, changeable themes, only one download window that i can safely close, it's not microsoft. okay, that's a bit too far. i mean, screwy to you, microsoft! i also found out the school compys are boot-disk protected. fun suckers. |

i also found out the school compys are boot-disk protected. fun suckers. Like how? The boot sequence? You could probably get into the BIOS and change that, because most admins working at schools don't bother to think of it. Just make sure that you boot from the CD and floppy drives before you boot from the HD. |

I'm trying to convince my dad to let me try out mozilla, as an alternative to good ol safari. I like safari, but I haven't ever tried mozilla before, so I can't really compare the two. |

I used Internet Explorer until yesterday. I accidentally clicked on this one link and then it automatically downloaded a toolbar for the browser, and some stuff that is uhh... not good for people under 18. It messed up the internet connection, so We couldn't connect the regular way. He had to do otherstupid stuff to get on the internet. It took forever to fix the computer (by this I mean a few hours.) So now I use Firefox. |

They're of about the same caliber, although Firefox can view a few pages that Safari has trouble with. |

I'll admit, they're pretty much the same thing. I prefer either. But I don't like Firefox for Mac much. Takes forever to start up. I prefer Safari on the Mac. Firefox for Windows is great though. Better than IE. :/ And I like teh Fox running on Linux, as well. Konqueror's....ok... |
