I can relate. I started going through my midlife crisis somewhere around 16 or 17. Last year I rode the Hot Shot at the State Fair for the first time and then got interested in paintball. Then I started thinking to myself, "Am I getting brave or do I have a death wish?"

Someone voted for the 1-10 spot? Kids these days and their "technology"... I didn't expect some of the people posting to be as young as they are, but that's cool. Age mixing good. Segregation bad. (ya know?)

What about different concepts of age?

Chronological (like how long ago I was born): 24
Perceptual (how old others usually think I am): 20
Institutional (where I'm at with school and work): 19
Social (like my social & relationship skills): 13
Aboriginal (like what age people would consider me if I was in a primitive tribe of people living off the land): 10 (most modern people would fall in the 7-12 range here)

Uh, nobody think these are "offical" categories, I just made them up.

Eh, that doens't sound like much of a mid-life crisis (Somm-1's) And it probably isn't seeing as you were 17 :p

They're talking about the quarterlife crisis now. Since things aren't set up to actually prepare people for the real world anymore, more & more people are getting this huge shock when they actually meet it.

Mine was 7 years long.

I'm a 14-type, and I'll be 15 in October. Yay for Learner's Permit year! And 14 is a cool number. It's two touchdowns with extra points!

But even though I'm 14, some people have thought that I'm 11... and a girl. :S
