I checked back a few pages to see if this had been done before, but not all the way back.
I get credit for that, right?

Anyway, who = wins?

I'm DC fanboy myself.

Marvel. I always found DC characters too Goody Two Shoes, whereas Marvel characters had kind of an evil aura goin' on...

I must respectfully disagree.
Superman is a boyscout, sure, but even he has his dark side.
Batman doesn't kill not because he is a goody-goody, but because he finds it to be a cowardly act and it sickens him (though he has had the occasional lapse in judgement).

DC has more human characters (by which I don't mean non-powered, though I am sure there are more of them in the DCU. I mean they are easier to relate to, be they Blue Beetle or the Spectre.) because I have found (in my admittedly limited experience with Marvel) that DC stories tend to be more character driven. An excellent example being Identity Crisis. Which showed the darkest sides of JLA members, to boot.

I'm not a huge comic book fanboy or anything, so when I try to compare Marvel and DC I end up comparing X-men and Spiderman to Batman and Superman. The X-men win so I vote Marvel.

Marvel. It's what I grew up on, although I've got nothing against DC.

*aneurism*

Are you talking about the comics? Because that is ass-backwards.
DC characters are revamped once every 15 years maybe, just to clean up their respective continuities.
Marvel on the other hand, is notorious for changing their characters in all sorts of crazy ways and not giving a single thought as to how it will affect the Marvel Universe.

Batman
Batman gets extra points for having the best line in the entire history of the Superfriends. The villain was named Dr. Noah Tall or something equally ludicrous, and he and his evil little sidekick were posed as street-corner food vendors with a cart and everything. As part of their plan, they were attempting to get Batman to buy some chicken soup. This REALLY HAPPENED, DARNIT! Anyhow, Batman, the dark night detective, the scourge of the underworld, assessing the situation with his keen crime-fighting brain, asks, in his deep, stentorian voice, "Is the chicken soup fresh?" It was a glorious moment. A

One of the many resons why I love DC.

Marvel all the way. In my opinion, the heroes has much more personality. DC seems to structure their superheroes as demigods (yes, even Batman). Marvel, on the other hand, has heroes that seem like regular Joes. Spider-Man is the popular archetype, but I prefer Wolverine: a surly, curmudeony warrior with a heart of gold. In other worlds, the sort of guy you wouldn't mind hanging out with at a barbecue. No such vibes with Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne, or Oliver Queen.

You wouldn't want to hang out with Oliver Queen? He's a wise-cracking left wing nutball who has come back from the dead and fathered two illegitimate children.

That ... basically sounds like the boring guy who hangs around the punchbowl and won't shut up about his brilliant and interesting life when all you want to do is get away. Then you've finally had enough and you tell him, "Sorry man, I'm sure the story of your eighteenth conquest is really fascinating, but really there is such a thing as too much information." That's right before you get one of those friggin' boxing glove arrows to the the kisser.

Nobody can ever leave the boxing glove alone.
IT WAS 30 YEARS AGO FOR CHRISSAKES!

30 years ago, Wolverine had kitty whiskers on his mask!
