There is a topic on this already. I found it using the search feature. (There's also this topic.) My favorite Beatle would be... Paul McCartney probably.

Yes it should. Not to be mean, but we don't need two threads.

Welcome to the forum! As funk said, it is pretty useless to have two of the same threads, but don't worry, you're not the first person to have posted an already existed thread, and you won't be the last.

ABP'd. Probably Paul, although John was a genius, George often got overlooked, and Ringo......... well, I don't really like Ringo at all. :P

Shut Up everyone with the whole, Pete is the Best crap. If he was the best, he'd still be in the band, wouldn't he?

Anyhoo, I like George the best, because he keeps it real and TELLS WHAT HE THINKS!

wikipedia.org wrote:
He could also wisecrack as well as anyone in the band; when a reporter asked what they did in their hotel suite between shows, Harrison told him "We ice-skate." When asked what the band called their distinctive haircut, he replied, "Arthur."
See!

...And Ian, I meant it as your favorite Beatle through there entire life/careers. Not just while in the band! :trogdor:

I've heard very little from their solo careers. Let's see...

John Lennon: I have heard "Imagine." That's it.

Paul McCartney: I have only heard "Band On The Run" (which was a long time ago, and I can barely remember it) and "Live And Let Die."

George Harrison: I have heard "Isn't It A Pity." I have also heard the Travelling Wilburys songs "Tweeter And The Monkey Man", "Cool Dry Place", and "End Of The Line" (which I barely remember).

Ringo Starr: I have heard "It Don't Come Easy", "Photograph", and "Back Off Boogaloo."

I try not to judge an artist based on a few songs, and this is no exception, so I still can't really decide who I like best. I love everything I have heard from their solo careers (or everything I can remember well), but I haven't really heard enough to make a solid decision, so I still can't decide my favourite Beatle.

I'm happy to see that they're all getting votes though.

(P.S. I have heard almost every Beatles song ever officially released, but that's the four of them working together as a group, and it's hard to pull them apart and decide who's best from that)

It's a joke. You laugh at them if you find them funny.

Well I guess I didn't find it funny, since I didn't laugh. It was a good attempt though.

why the hell do people like george? we wasn't even that great of a guitar player.
my man is ringo. out of all the songs on Help! his track is the only one that really has energy and not-tiredness (yes, i know he didn't write it, i'm just talking about the performance)
he's just so happy.

I'm not terribly familiar with the Beatles, but I will go with Ringo, as he was the narrator for a good deal of my Thomas the Tank Engine videos from when I was a lil kidlet.

Are you people off your rockers?! George was a great guitar player!

Just listen to the mean guitar he plays in "Taxman" and "Roll Over Beethoven."

Sorry to burst your bubble, Ian. Paul McCatney played lead guitar on Taxman, George didn't do that crazy solo.

But I'm pretty sure that was him in Roll Over Beethoven.
If you are riff-crazed, then just listen to Wah-Wah, or Awaiting On You All, or other songs like that, by Harrison. Or the Beatles songs, Here Comes The Sun, Something, I Need You, Don't Bother Me, etc, etc.

George was the best. He was, in my opinion, the greatest person to ever walk the earth! I don't see Paul, John, or Ringo saving an entire country with a benefit concert, where nobody makes any money but the refugees!

AND a concert, after he died, by Eric Claption, Paul, Ringo, Ravi Shankar, Jeff Lynne, Klaus Voormann, Tom Petty/HeartBreakers, etc etc. The Concert For George was held on the 29th of November, 2002 (a year to the day after he died). I know the exact date, because of course I know the day George died, just add a year! ;)

He is the man!

Well you still listed some great guitar work from George, so that proves he's a great guitarist!

And you just listed some other great things about him.

...so there you go Paulsint. That's why people like George.
