one thing that i fear has been lost in time is the appreciation for gameplay, now all i hear about when people talk about new games and stuff is "ooo those grahics are awsome" not "ooo that has good um... gameplay" that is one reason that I am exited about the Wii. Since Ninteno did not focus on the graphics entirely they could develope the awsome motion sencing thingy and the Wiimote. Yes good graphics are good to have and you cant judge gameplay unless you have played it but i would rather have a good game with bad graphics (old Zelda) than a game with good graphics and craptastic gameplay and consept (Sonic riders) I know some people agree with me, I just think people should talk about game play for once. The Wii owned at E3 in my book. I'll most definitely be getting it, but probably only once SSBB comes out. If that isn't the first game I buy for it, it's a crime against nature! Racing games are pretty cool, and Kirby's Air Ride is probably the most underappreciated game in existance.

Yes, but a gaming experience can be much better if the graphics measure up to the gameplay. Would you rather play Mario with 8-bit graphics or the same game with 256-bit graphics? It's all about enhancing already good gameplay. Bad graphics can hurt a game. And visuals are a large part of the experience, Resident Evil 4 (for example) would be much less without its spooky dark atmosphere and hyper-realistic graphics. Do you wanna see a stick figure walking around on a green floor with a blue sky shooting at other stick figures? |

Well, it seems to me that an awful lot of people didn't really appreciate Super Mario Sunshine. (I did, but I heard a lot of people complaining about it.) On the other hand, most people still consider Super Mario Bros. 3 to be one of the most fantastic games in existance... |

yeah i know i am not saying that graphics are bad and stuff, it is just not a lot of games spend their budget and time on graphics and not nessisarily gameplay and i hear more people talking about graphics than the game itself |

P...........S.............3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First off, graphics, you annot beat those graphics. Graphics are important. If they weren't, no one would complain about Super Cheeseball animations. Second off, games, UT2007, MGS4! w00t! Killzone 2, Tekken, Gundam. Third off, physics, NO PRE-ANIMATED EXPLOSIONS MAN! It all happens like it would happen. Fourth off, tilting.....controller. It's like before "GAH! I'm...fgt! Wgut! Gt! Stupid controller!" and now "Woah! I move the conroller, and it actually does something now!" And fifth, I just plain hate Nintendo. They're trying to hard. It's like "HEY! Nintendos making a new gamesystem!" "That's the 3rd time this week!" I'm an MGS guru, so being able to make MGS even better, gives the system a 100/10. And now, for the hate mail!

Hate mail: Everything is bigger in the new PS3! Including the price. EDIT: Also, I still find announcing the motion sensor technology at E3 (whereas Nintendo did it months ago) ripping off. On the other hand, if I had to mention a console I hate more, it would definitely be the XBox series with Microsoft's astronomical prices and ripoff marketing. Despite all this console ranting, I'm still mainly a PC gamer. |

This causes the person to be blinded by one console and view other consoles as inferior. The only treatment for this afliction is to have the patient play the other systems. |

This is such a one sided poll. Xbox 360 is, at the least, better than PS3. None of the other ones had playable games at e3. Did they? |

None of the other ones had playable games at e3. Did they? Microsoft panicked when they heard the original release dates for the PS3 and Wii. They released the system prematurely they didn't have enough time to work all of the bugs out. Nintendo and Sony are smart at the fact that they pushed their release dates back to make sure that there are no problems. Judging by the fact that the only country where the XBox is selling is the US, I don't think Xbox 360 is better than either the PS3 or Nintendo Wii, or should I say WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!! |

Accually BTG, the Xbox 360 is selling in every country it is available in. According to the wiki, it has sold 1.5 million units world wide. With 900,000 in America, 500,000 in Europe, and 100,000 in Japan. This is since December 2005. I also will admit that this poll is a little one sided.

Hmm... a tough choice. But I voted for the Wii, want to know why? Although it has a name that could easily be used in bad jokes and puns, it seems to be cool to have backwards compatility, a controller that looks similar to a remote and a bit more. With the trailers for will-be-coming-sometime games for the will-be-coming-sometime Wii, so it has my vote. Although XBox 360 comes a close second, with their fancy graphical games and such. |

No, it's not. As you can see through the thread, there are some non-Nintendo fanboys, and some anti-Nintendo fanboys. Though I will admit that the Nintendo fans are in the majority. I wonder why? Could it be because TBC are Nintendo fans themselves? Hmmm...

I am sold right there!! But the backwards compatability and internet are a nice plus. 
Although I'm hoping that Sony will fall behind in the console race (and that Nintendo will go back to #1 ), I wouldn't be surprised if Sony keeps it's #1 spot, if nothing else than with combined PS2 and PS3 sales. They'll definitely lose some of their lead though. Unless they pull a few surprises, which I doubt.

my brother actually tried to get in a fist fight with me over these consels, he actually said "the Wii is not as good because it is not as expensive" WHAT LOGIC IS THAT?! anyways he is 19, and i said that "just cus it is not 500 bucks does not mean it sucks" then he went crazy and tried to punch me, he needs anger managment. |

People like that make me wonder why I play video games at all. I mean, is there room for a "meh" opinion in this console war? Unlike some, I refuse to judge a console until I actually play it. Guess that means I'm not worthy to wear this. *hands in Nintendo and Sony fanboy badges* I'm a disgrace to the badge. |

The xbox 360 and Ps3 is overrated at my school, no, in fact. EVerywhere. My friend said this. "It doesn't matter how much it costs. I'm getting it" hope he has fun paying. And as for the xbox 360. I basically just hear this: "OMG, TEH XBOX 360 IS LEIK SO COULL. U NEED TO BY IT RITE NOW!" No'one understands the greatness of Nintendo......... |
