Pure Communism would be perfect, but it can never be achieved. There always has to be someone in charge of something, and when that happens, it isn't communism anymore.

Liek prevously said perfect communism/socialism is better than capitalism. But to create a fully funcioning improving nation there needs to be a money or incentive to create new things.

Communism from Dictionary.com
A theoretical economic system characterized by the collective ownership of property and by the organization of labor for the common advantage of all members.
Communism
A system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and a single, often authoritarian party holds power, claiming to make progress toward a higher social order in which all goods are equally shared by the people.
The Marxist-Leninist version of Communist doctrine that advocates the overthrow of capitalism by the revolution of the proletariat.

But it's pretty much impossible to achieve perfect communism., A lot of impossibl;e things are better than possible things, but we're living in reality where those impossible things will never happen.

Pure Communism? That is an unattainable thing. You need to look at the real world and communism.

Capitalism all the way!

I say Communism's basic idea is better than Capitalism's.
But this poll is biased, 'filthy commie,' 'you jerk.'
It's almost like you think Communism is a bad thing. It's not bad, it's not evil, it's just a different way of thinking.
Both sides have their flaws, that's why it's better not to stray to far into either. You should stay in the middle of the extremes and be cool.
The one thing both sides are pulled down by are human corruption, which is very easy to do in both cases, and there's nothing you can do about that. Humanity is as humanity does.

I didn't vote. Though one could make an argument capitalism depends on human greed, I think it just harnesses it to do useful work (but still it would do humanity a great favor if we could just do away with all that greed). On the other hand, communism has been seen to fail utterly when human greed is factored in - instead of everyone being equally wealthy (or poor, depending on how one sees it), one gets a bloc of powerful individuals who are more equal than others (to quote Orwell), which kind of negates the basic point of communism, which is the equal distribution of wealth.

Both Comminism and Capitalism are indeed great ideas, in their true forms. There is no true Communistic state today, nor was there one in the Soviet Union. It's impossible for it to happen, because there will always be human greed and power.

No middle ground option? I prefer a certain blend--a type of SocioCapitalism like what Gene Roddenbury portrayed in Star Trek, where people's basic needs (shelter, food, clothing, water, health care, etc.) are provided for by the State, but if they wanted anything better, they'd have to work to get it...and they wouldn't earn money--that would be too easy to gamble in investments and other things to create wealth that wasn't totally earned--but rather "work credits" that could go towards upgrading their life.

Both communism and capitalism have their strengths and weaknesses. However, pure communism, while impossible, is still better than pure capitalism.

May I ask how you plan to say communism is perfect? A government that controls everything seems not good. In capitalism you have a say! You can own your own buisness and turn a profit! And be rich up to your gut! What's wrong with that? And as long as you obtain your living honestly there is no reason why you can't be rich!!! Capitalism offers that. While in China you can barely see a car that's not rented out by a totalitarian government!!! Communism isn't perfect! In my eyes it's less perfect then Capitalism. The only thing in my eyes that's perfect is the word of God. Someday you may see that the closest thing to perfect is Free Trade. And no commmunists aren't filthy (unless they haven't taken a bath  )
SOUND OFF!
What I'm getting at is that the equal distribution of wealth isn't good. If you earned 1000 bucks and someone down the block earned 100 (because he was a lazy bum) would you let the government take away part of YOUR money just so that guy could hav an equal amount as you? You earned it it's yours (except for maybe a small amount taken a way by taxes for your kids education and the roads you drive on)!

West, in communism, there is no government. If there was, then someone would have more power than others, thus not making it communism. Everyone is equal. Let's say that you were the guy making $100 working in, let's say a factory. And the guy making $1000 is some guy who had a rich dad. Is that fair?

Except part tof the idea of communism is that everyone contributes as best he or she can.

I know that. But my point is, true communism, if it were possible, would be a very good system.

But we're not voting on what should be, we're voting on what is.

Therefore, capitalism.
