Somehow I think that these statistics are WAY off. I want to know if these claims can hold any water. |

Nope, but I have been bullied online. Which is something different, I suppose. But never solicited. Though I do sometimes have suspicions about the motivations of this one fellow I know... But nobody here, so don't worry about having to sneak surreptiously around corners while weilding an aluminum baseball bat. |

No, and where did you get these statistics? |

An ad that's on Myspace. And I think I saw it on TV, too. |

Nope. It's mostly in chat rooms, and MySpace. |

Also, this isn't one o' them HUGE forums with millions of members. And third of all, we're kind of clean.

Nope. I personally think they're bum stats... I could be wrong though... |

Nope. You're safe as long as you know how to distinguish creepy "hey, u want sum candy???" people from "This is like, totally proper grammar" people. Which really isn't that hard at all. In fact, I've even given out my address before. ^_^ |

Not that I know of. I mean, I haven't gone to the park to meet someone who has candy for me that I met online... Coincidentally, this is the reason my parents think chatrooms are the devil. Ah, well. Hagurumon wrote: In fact, I've even given out my address before. ^_^
Heh. Myrrh's given out like everything about her here. |

Thanks to Myrrh's carelessness, I now have her Social Security Number! ...not that it'll be worth anything in a few years...
Let's see... Mandy, Myrrh, and Disk have my address, and I have Myrrh and Disk's adresses. |

Well, pretty much everyone knows my real last name (HINT: it's not Bate!), and I told Mandy my address once... although I don't live there anymore due to a dispute with my mom aboot her having me arrested... and if I had a phone number, I'd probably tell that to everyone, too. My mom and stepdad are Internet safety freaks, but luckily they don't really watch what I type very often. And when they do, I just minimize the window and pull up something else. But yeah, the 1 out of 5 ratio... that doesn't sound accurate. |

No, never. That's because have I brains and some common sense. We all know that many more than one out of five people on the Internet have neither of those. |

Ahem, bruddah. *peace sign* Really, it begs the question. How is it that this place is all cool and clean-like and full of almost nothing but awesome people, while most sites are chock-ful of nothing but the lowest common denominator? |

Because Homestar Runner fans are the coolest, friendliest people ever.

I haven't been solicited, sexually, verbally, or however ways you can. |

I... have been actually. Before I came here, I used chatspeak and hung out in creepy chatrooms. I want to make sure nobody is as dumb as I was. I'm only so comfortable with giving out information to you guys because I trust you and I love you and we talk and communicate regularly.

Yeah, I have as well. Some creepy people find out my screenname and are pretty creepy about it. Usually I play their game and talk to them, and end up pwning them with some awesome comeback and then they go away. Or I block them. It's also happened on MySpace once or twice but I just blocked them. |

Those stats probably count, like, leching or something... |

Solicit: Make a solicitation or entreaty for something; request urgently or persistently. So I don't think leching counts. |
