What the crap happened to my original thread? And Teh Ch8t, thanks for reposting it for whatever happened.

How do you guys get 5000 songs, and an even greater question is how you get it legal? I mean, on iTunes it takes 1 dollar per song, plus tax, so that's about $5100 dollars (just a guesstimate). And a CD costs about $15 more or less, depending on how many tracks. How are you able to spend so much money on music??!?!:?!?!???!!1//1/1/1/

Well, you can rip from CD's and your friend's, and not all my songs are MP3's. Some are legal free mp3's from sites like OCRemix, some are MIDI, and some a mod music.

I have a 4GB nano, which currently has 1299 songs on it. In my iTunes library, I have 4010 "songs", but a bunch of those are audiobooks. So I have about 13.5GB of music on my compy.

Heh. Burns FTW.

Well, if I HAD an iPod, I'd have about 100-200 songs, with only half being truly mine.

My sister, on the other hand, could fit over 10 days' worth of music, if the duplicates aren't included.

I have enough music in my computer to do about three day's worth of a no-repeat radio station. Albiet it isn't all MP3s.

Punk songs average about 2 minutes apiece. I mean "real" punk, which used to be called old-school (as opposed to new-school, which I suppose now is just pop punk. Because back then they didn't play "punk" on the radio or TV.).

I own a 2 gig iPod Nano, so it goes without saying that I use iTunes. As for songs... I currently have 340 songs in my iTunes Library. I would have more, but I recently restarted my Library from scratch, along with my iPod. Before the restart I hade over 500 songs.

Just now noticed this... do you HAVE to use iTunes to use an iPod? Can't you just put MP3's on it?
