For me its Yellow, because it was my first one and i love it. but Blue and silver are pretty close. |

Blue. It was the first one I had, and the best. I played red, yellow, and silver a lot. I have gold, but only played it once. I've never played any of those ruby ones though. |

Emerald is so much better then the rest. Its crazy long and has a million things to do. Its got the new exotic pokemon and the old classics. Its greatly detailed and has amazing graphics. |

What about Fire Red and Leaf Green? Sure, they're recycled versions of Red and Blue, but with better graphics and (possibly my favorite addition to Pokemon games) Pokemon breeding. |

Gold was the very first Pokemon game I ever played. It still holds memories for me almost as fond as Mario Kart 64 (The first video game I ever owned) I saved up for the GBC with my own money and dad (seeing I didn't have the money to get a game) kindly bought me Gold Version. *tears of joy and rememberance*. On the downside I'm starting to aquire a taste for Digimon. *shudders* |

While Red and Blue are classics, I'll have to go with Gold. I still play it. I'm thinking of getting a new Gameboy to play the new Pokemon games. I'm not sure if I should get a regular old SP or a DS. |

I have to go with Red. I had every Pokemon. Plus it was my first ever Pokemon game, so there's nostalga there. Of course, then I had to be an idiot and get MissingNo. Now I can't view the Hall of Fame. |

why are people saying Gold? whay not Silver, in Silver you get Lugia but in Gold you just get Ho-Hos |

You can get them both in either game. It's just in the corresponding game, the legendary bird is level 40, while the other is level 70. I personally prefer Gold Version (AND Ho-Oh) to Silver Version. |

I really wish they would remake gold for gameboy. That would be the coolest thing ever. Like all the good things in leaf green and fire red and emerald. Redone. but with good original music. |

Well, I have the guide to gold and silver, and the creatures that come out during the night and day in some towns are different, too. There are silver exclusives, and gold exclusives. So there's more than the legendary difference. |

Intresting fact time. If you have a mega memory card you can save your pokemon gold or silver file on it. Then you can insert the opposite game pak and load up the wrong file! I was playing my sisters silver on a gold cart. |
