As the topic implies. How would you not like to die?

For me, a few of the above options I wouldn't like. But for me, falling. Because not only do you have that quick moment of knowing you are going to die, but that you also don't have very much time to think of anything. And finally, you don't have any time to plan what to do between the moment you are going to die and death.

Oh, and I would pick dying in my sleep as the most unfrightening. Because I probably wouldn't experience any pain.

Illness...Not like something like cancer or AIDS. I'm talking about those horrible disfiguration's and you know that you're going to die. And you have to live with it knowing that you will soon die and you wont know when. And then when you're growing up everybody calls you a freak....

*breaks down crying*

With a knife. I couldn't even imagine. Drowning would be bad, too.

Burning. I could never stand being cooked alive...that would be totally horrific for me. I'm more a cold-weather type person, so I'd much rather freeze to death than burn (or even just die of heat stroke or something). Drowning would suck, too...actually, any form of asphyxiation would suck. Slow, painful way to die.

Preferable ways to die: Anything with minimal pain, like falling (generally, the impact would be sudden enough to kill a person, depending on how high up they were and how they landed) or gunshot to the head.

Either gassed or burning. I have in my head, a scene from some movie where jews are in the showers at a holocaust camp and instead of water they get gassed, and it's just so horrible...

I would say burning.

Probably drowning. Nothing worse than dying like that. I almost did once. Being gassed would probably be second in my book.

You mean The Devil's Arithmetic? I remember that.

Burning.
A lot of pain involved there. Even if you didn't die, the pain and disfigurement would be just as bad.

This is one morbid topic, yo.

I'm afraid of them all really. I think I have a death-phobia.

Hm, out of these, probably burning. That'd probably hurt the most. But the worst way of dying would be torture. I don't even want to think about it

Burried alive is bad, too. Ever since my friend told me that's his worst fear, it's became a bit of a fear of mine.

Hm, writing this post, I just realized I'm a bit claustorphobic (sp?). I never knew that before. Only a bit, though, I guess I just feel the need to be able to move.

I didn't intend for it to be like that.

Could an Mod add Freezing and other to the list please? I accidentally forgot to add those. Thank you in advance.

Ugh....

I guess I'm afraid of burning. Image

And, by the way, guys, drowning isn't so bad. I have heard that the last few moments you stop struggling and have a great sense of peace....

Like Ramrod, I have a somewhat death phobia, as well.

Out of that list, it would be burning just because of the suffering before hand. I have hated this idea of death ever since playing Half Life 2, where you could set this gas-filled cage on fire with a spark, and the enemy inside it would scream and cry his way to death.

Another way I'd hate to die would be by a weapon, whether a knife, gun, grenade, etc. I always think that someone is in my house besides me when I'm alone, waiting for the moment when I'm at my weakest to kill me. But, I'm paranoid like that, so whatever.

Being burned to death is pretty scary.

I'd have to say drowning. I would say why, but I can't get words out.

A weapon. It's too quick, sudden and cold. Weapon death is almost always out of hate or war, so it's not so much the method as the reasons behind it...

Freezing wouldn't be too bad, though. You just kind of go to sleep.

Gassed.

It's not like there's a way to fight back or resist against it.

I had trouble picking between drowning and burning. Both give you plenty of time to be in extreme pain and panicking. Falling gives you time to panic, but it doesn't hurt except for a moment. Gassing might be qualify under that, but I don't know how long it hurts before you die. I picked burning because it seemed quite a bit more painful than drowning, and you could run around panicking about the fire for a while. This reminds me a lot of a certain darwin award, though.

Drowning in hot sauce. Imagine how much your lungs, eyes, nose, mouth and everything would burn.
Also being stabbed while taking a crap would suck.

Depending on the gas, it could be extremely painful. As far as the gas used for most criminal exterminations (carrying out the death penalty), I hear that the gas took several minutes to fully kill you, with a lot of coughing up blood and pieces of lung and such in the process. Other gasses, such as carbon monoxide (depending on the amount in the air, measured by parts per million), can cause relatively quick and painless deaths, when used in such quantity as to intentially cause death. 4% of CO in the air (that's 40,000 ppm) will cause the victim to go unconscious immediately and the heart to stop beating within 30 seconds.

I voted "by a lethal weapon" but I think this would only apply if the weapon hit you in such a way that it bled a lot and put you through extreme pain for a prolonged time.

I think car crashes would be awfully scary, too. A lot of crash victims don't die for an extended time but undergo a lot of pain.

And I'd say the worst way of all would be being buried alive. Just knowing that there's absolutely no way to escape, that nobody can hear your struggles, dying slowly... horrible...

I looked at all of them, and for some reason drowning just hit me. Wouldn't that be absolutely horrible? The water rushes all around you; you can't breathe; you can't see; you're choking and choking and you can't hear anything because the water is in your ears and then you die.

I chose Burning. My most peaceful would be natural causes and well for some reason for me I wouldn't mind drowning. Actually I would care if I died at all. But I do gotta say that I LOVE LIFE!

Ahh, but with fire well. Imagine the swirls of smoke and flames coming up around you. Death is enevitable. It moves towards you creeping, creeping, your trapped. People can hear you scream in agony as it peirces your skin, but they can't do ANYTHING. As it englufs you you choke on fire and smoke mangled together it burns you up. Your organs are being revealed then burned till finnaly all you are is a charred skeloton.

I think it wpould be. I mean, you're just there in the water, unable to breathe, and you just keep struggling and struggling until you're dead, which is actually a relief.

But it doesn't take very long, and it wpouldn't be painful. I guess I value a minimum of pain in death more-so than others.

Or maybe mroe-so.

..... Yeah, my neighbor was in the Navy, and she rescued people before who were about to drown, and they said the 10-15 seconds before they were about to die where peaceful as can be.

Plus, I love the water, so it may be different for me.

I think the worst way is to initially survive a plane crash and get soaked in jet fuel, then be set on fire by a rogue spark or flames from the wreckage.

Think about it: You're laying there with probably lots of broken bones and lacerations and things, and then you get set on fire. Eek.
