Im settling things now!

I don't want this to turn into a 50page flame war so:

Sony produced a good console but costs quite alot
Nintendo produced an okay console but its cheap
X-box is in the middle.

If this carries on it should be locked. Rivalrys will be made on this thread.

I apologize for what I said, it seems like whenever someone makes one of these threads it seems to come to "Nintendo is best! Everyone else sucks!"

I'm just asking a few questions, I'm not putting your head on a pole. Like I said on Gabbly yesterday, no one holds grudges on the Internet. First off: what is PS3 doing differently? I really want to know this. Why do you think the Wii is only "okay"?

Sega rules. I loved sonic, and powerstone, and all the other awesome games Sega had to offer. My dreamcast broke on my birthday three years ago, rigth when I just bought 5 games for it...

Yeah, I don't see how you can rate the PS3 or the Wii yet Unless the PS3 is already out. I haven't been paying attention)

And think we're all mature enough here not to have rivalries over which gaming company we prefer. We just like to have arguments (in a friendly way)

How about this, don't rip on the Wii or PS3 until they come out. Who knows, maybe the $600 will be worth it for the Station if it's really good.

Right now, if you want to talk about a consule, talk about one that is already out and you have played on. Don't knock the Cube if you've never played it.

Response to "The Noid":

well....i have played a ps2 and i have played them for hours on end..but i dont like the fact that they have about a billion game which more than half are bad,cheezy,boreing, 2 out of 10. also alot of those games dont utalize the ps2's graphical capibility.i also dont like the face that in order to have 4 player games you have to buy an extension...just another way sony eats you $$. i also dont like the crappie quality of most online play on the ps2..which you have to buy a motem...more $$ from you.

but to tell you the truth i play my xbox more that my gamecube simply because i havent gotten interested in any new goames on the gc...but i envy nintendo for being the pioneers of gaming itself.

again, no offence to anyone intended :)

Oh dear. There seems to be quite a bit of Nintendo fan bashing in this thread. I hope you all realize that not all of us "stupid, hopeless fanboys" are not as stupid and hopeless as some make you believe. Remember, stereotyping is not cool.

And please, if you ever try to call yourself a video game fan, give Nintendo the props it deserves. If Nintendo never came around, you wouldn't have your PlayStations and Xboxes. The gaming industry would be dead.

I've owned an NES, Genesis, N64, and Xbox. So the only company I can't comment much on is Sony (though I've played both PlayStations, but not much).
Nintendo does some great, innovative things. I was, however, a little upset when I had my N64 and some really good games were coming out.. then suddenly all these games for small children came out. Plus Pokemon. Sorry - don't like Pokemon.
Genesis always was fun for me, I wish there had been more interesting titles though.
I like the Xbox, although I recognize that it doesn't have the library PS2 does. I mean.. I have fun with it. And to shun originality completely, yes, I enjoy Halo.

I think he meant that if Nintendo's NES hadn't ended the big gap after the big video game crash...
I don't know where would gaming be right now. And I don't really want to think about it.

Untrue. There was soem Nintendo fan bashing earlier (Most of it was directed towards hopeless fanboys only, though, and had a "disclaimer" saying that they kenw not every nintendo fan was a hopeless, crazy fan)

That's exactly what I meant. If Nintendo hadn't come along, you wouldn't be thinking "Man, the PS3 has awesome graphics!". You'd be thinking "Man this book is good!"

I'm going to go with the overwhelming majority and say Nintendo. Hundreds opon hundreds of hours spent on 6 different gaming devices. I still remember when I was really, really young, too naive to figure out that I just couldn't climb that huge wall in the second stage of Aladdin. Then I figured out the window ledges. -_-;

However, to not make me look like an idiot fangirl, I did spend countless hours on my future brother-in-law's Dreamcast. Though I only played THPS2, the data created over that summer still exists. Now, to finish the game without cheating! And I went a little nuts over the XBOX 360 when I tried out a store preview for Kameo. I was leching over the graphics, though.


......Or maybe I'm just a Rareware fangirl. I've spent half of my gaming time playing their games. Maybe I simply lech over them.

Definetley Microsoft for the Xbox. Closely followed by nintendo and sega (which gets second pace I don't know.) Xbox and Nintendo have the best exclusive titles... Does Sony even have any?

EDIT: I agree that gaming would be nowhere without NIntendo. And they are by far the most creative of the companies I just prefer the Xbox.... BUT I LOVE MARIO AND SONIC!!! I mean, uhhh, sonic and mario are quite qualified in the gaming World *ahem*.

Don't forget the Nintendo Fangirls!

I've always loved them, but my friends really pushed me to fangirl level this year. I reamber when E3 came around, we tried to find a way into the computer lab to we could watch. (We didn't get very far because we were at lunch, and police would guard the exits thanks to uh, people.)

But seriously, If I ever got a PS2 I'd most likely have to spend a week with a controller in my hands and memorizing where each button is.

I couldn't agree more. Rare was by far the best small gaming company. The work, humor and unique elements they put in their games were awesome. I've gotta buy some of their older games.
