Dude, what is up with Marvel and their obsession with the letter X? X-men, X-Factor, Generation X, Excaliber, Mutant X, ect. It's like they think that just because it has the letter X in it's name it will be super awesome. |

There's a reason for it, all of those series are spin-offs of X-men. Anyway, Marvel is so much better. I mean come on, Superman? Is there a power that guy doesn't have? |

I dislike Superman with a passion. Oh, paperguy alien who has a crappy disguise that ALWAYS manages to save the world from being ran over by a bullet train while a comet is coming nearby. Even when he gers killed by Doomsday, Lex, and Brainiac. And when Jimmy just got himself turned into another one of his 300+ powers. I like a small bit of non-fiction in my comics, thankyooverymuch. Personally, I like Marvel. Probably because they made Spider-Man, my all-time favorite. I mean, it's a kid in his late teens who suddenly gets powers and must juggle his personal life with his superhero life, all while trying to pass next year in school. Sounds pretty real to me. |

Batman is good, in my eyes. I tihnk he's the only superhero that lacks superpowers, which makes him seem more down-to-earth to me. |

I love Batman, but I'm a huge X-Men fan too. |

I wonder if they'll ever make 'The X-Treme X's' or something. Maybe they'd be an X-ceptional band of X-Villians. x3 |

I have to admit, I find Batman good. Anybody like superman can fight crime if they're invincible. Batmans got guts. AND i might add, a cooler costume. |

X-Men has had lots and lots of spinoffs. Some not even having X in the title. Deadpool is one, no? |

I'm torn. Marvel has Ultimate Spider-Man and Ultimate Fantastic Four, both of which I'm totally hooked on right now. And Neil Gaiman's Eternals, a miniseries of which I have the first 2 issues, but I haven't read them yet. I'm sure they'll kick some major bum, though. DC bought out Vertigo, home of Sandman and Fables (BEST SERIES I HAVE READ IN A REALLY LONG TIME ASIDE FROM THE MAXX - Okay, I'll say best current series.) ... I love my Vertigo. Plus Batman Secrets, by Sam Kieth... I can't decide. But if you wanna go with just the movies that have spawned from the comics, I've gotta say Marvel. |

Yes, you're definitely right there. Grood stuff, but not at the tippy-top of my list. I'm a fan of wonderful art, such as the 12-issue run of UFF by that guy whose name I can't remember and am too lazy to go look for. Tee hee. |

Totally a legal double post. I can't believe I forgot about Preacher and Hellblazer, two more fan-frickin'-tastic comics on Vertigo. Constantine wasn't a fabulous movie, but don't let that deter you from reading (John Constantine:) Hellblazer. |

Daredevil is teh pwn. I grew up reading pounds and pounds of issues of that guy. Actually, I think I read about....30 issues. But they're freaking long. I think he was the only superhero I know of that actually made intelligent remarks while doing his inexplicable daily beatings of random guys. I only read the black and white versions of the comics, but, I could still tell, without a doubt, that the art in that thing is freaking fantastic. So, Marvel. Spidey's pretty [s]pimpin'[/s] cool too. |
