This is strictly consoles. No Handheld.
Which of these did you find most fantasric when they RELEASED. Not currently. I am putting as many consoles as I can. If I missed one, please inform me. Oh, I didnt have room for Dreamcast, so juust put that under Genesis.

SNES holds the most nostalgia for me, so I voted for it...though N64 would be a close second.

I'd have to go with SNES, because it's so nostalgic for me. Plus, it was awesome.

Probaly N64. It was this huge jump to 3d graphics.

I'm going with the N64. I've only played the SNES a few times, so I don't really know about that, and Super Mario 64 was just so revolutionary. Considering it's time, it was an awesome console. (And still is)

And would you ever believe it, already I'm the only one who didn't choose a Nintendo console. Like I said before... totally futile.

You know this is quite early, right? There is only 5 votes so far.

If so, then firstly, you used already incrrectly. How can you "already be the only one"? That doesn't make any sense.

And secondly, what's your point, then?

I can't choose between the Odysseys and SNES! (Yes. I know. The Odysseys are old. I don't care. These are all I have.)

I have a three-way tie between SNES, N64, and Gamecube. But I'll go with SNES< because I've probably played on that thing the most and have the best and worst of times on there.

Dreamcast. The technology was great, and Skies of Arcadia is my second favorite game ever.

Close between SNES and N64, but the SNES had some really awesome games, so thats that.

I would of said SNES, but PS2 pulls out for the win simply because to many fo the best games of all time were for the PS2!

I was once a Nintendo fanboy too.
I chose the SNES. I still play that dang thing. It's awesome, and will forever be awesome.

Gamecube.

And why is that?

1. The Gamecube was Nintendo's Dreamcast in terms of sales, so the console wasn't very well respected. Selling at only 4 million units in Japan, 12.27 million in America, and 4.72 million in Europe. This was a very hard time for a Nintendo fan.

2. The controllers were perfect in my opinion. And while the Wii's will probably be grand too, I don't think I can compare the two. So I'll call it, "The best orginal controller I have ever used".

3. Ikaruga. One of my most favorite modern classic games.

4. Nintendo's very grand first-party support. SSBM, Metroid Prime 1 and 2, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (my second favorite Zelda game), Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Pikmin 2, Fire Emblem, Chibi Robo, Super Paper Mario, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

5.And while it wasn't very grand, the third party support was very good. Tales of Symphonia, Harvest Moon, SSX 3, Viewtiful Joe, Super Monkey Ball 2, and Ikaruga.

And finally, the GBA player.

Hooray for that purple box!

Still think the DualShock is the most useable controller ever.

Voted PS1 btw. Here's a few reasons:
* Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
* Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus
* Gex
* Parappa the Rapper
* Um Jammer Lammy
* Vib Ribbon
* Final Fantasy VII
* Heart of Darkness
* Tombi!
* Spyro 2
* Crash 2
* Hogs of War
* Wild 9
* Earthworm Jim 2
* Silent Hill
* Discworld
* Discworld 2
* Discworld Noir
* Metal Gear Solid...

I could go on. However, since I need to be at an airport in a mere few hours, I won't.

Wow, I'm surprised the SNES is pulling so far ahead. But I'm pleased, since it's my personal favorite.

Some of my favorite games...
  • Super Mario World (Seventh Favorite All-time)
  • Super Mario All Stars
  • Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (Eigth Favorite All-time)
  • Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past (Fourth Favorite All-time)
  • Super Mario RPG (Second Favorite All-time)
  • Donkey Kong Country
  • Donkey Kong Country 2
  • Donkey Kong Country 3
  • Kirby's Super Star (Third Favorite All-time)
  • Castlevania: Dracula X
  • Doom
  • Final Fantasy II (IV)
  • Final Fantasy III (VI)
  • F-Zero
  • Kirby's Dream Land 3
  • Kirby's Avalanche and Kirby's Dream Course
  • Mega Man 7
The list goes on. SNES games make up the majority of my top ten.

Heh. I played that game when they ported it to the GCN. Awesome game.

SNES. It had the best selection of games, bar none.

The N64 came close, though...

The N64, there's just so many good games for it. The Gamecube is good, but the N64 has all the great games.

N64, without a doubt. Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Banjo Kazooie, Super Smash Bros, etc. It was something else to see all of my favorite games transition into 3D (except Metroid, had to wait for the Gamecube for that one).

The SNES is probably the best console judging by how many people I know who speak of it fondly even though it premiered over 15 years ago, but the Genesis will always be my favorite.
If I took back all the time I spent playing Panic on Funkatron and Road Rash 3, I'd probably have a decent education and a job. So, Sega ruined my life and I'm cool with that.

That's what makes a console great.
