I said Adventure Two battle, because of the two player mode, but I also love the handheld.

Sonic 3 was pretty cool. The Sonic & Knuckles version of Sonic 3 was pretty neat too. Although Sonic 1 with Sonic & Knuckles was amazing...

Nah, Sonic 3 gets my vote.

I forgot Sonic Rush! Oh well, if you want to vote for that, vote for sonic racing games. That game was pretty good, except for USA music such Sonic Boom.

I've only played Sonic Rush on my DS.

And I can say that Sonic is a very, very grand game.

Well, the forst one is a classic, but I really love 2. So I'll go with two, I guess.

No, Sonic Advanced 3 is part of the Sonic Advanced series on the GBA.

Sonic 3 was an orginal game for the Sega Genesis.

Same here. Nothing can top the 2d ones, IMO.

Sonic Adventure, the first one. It still stands as having one of the coolest intros of all time.

I love them ALL! Well, I love the Adventure ones but Sonic 2 gets my vote, love that game, I beat it two days ago. I got this Sonic Mega Collection game for Xbox that has all the originals (including Game Gear!). it's great, hooking up the Genesis can be a real hassle and I don't have all those games.... I remember my Gme gear back in the day too.....

*sigh*

Sometimes I don't like being reminded about that.

It's incredible to think that Sonic Rush and Shadow the Hedgehog were released on the same day.

I can also say that Shadow shows that some franchises shouldn't go down certain paths.

I hope to never see Mario with a gun.

If Nintendo went down that path.

Then I would lose quite a bit of hope and respect for them.

And Shadow the Hedgehog proves what a franchise should never do. There was swearing even!

They just made a new Sonic Collection, which is kind of funny, considering that the old collections motto was the best sonic games. I guess this one is the rest. Its only good game is sonic speed. With other games, such as sonic spinball, a pinball game, Sonic R, a racing game, but its on the Saturn, so about 4 people played it. Also a Sonic Fighting game. no, its not a big course where you roll around to hit your Rival. Although that would be awesome. Its like Tekken, or Mortal Kombat, and it was so bad it didnt get released in the USA. Gosh, I wonder if they will make a sonic Grand Theft Auto. That would be the final thing that would turn me off Sonic.

Well, I don't have the game but I have a few things to say about that:

Why shouldn't they go down the path? They made sales and a lot of people liked the game enough for a better one. Why would they not do that? Games have ratings and warnings if there is coarse language, suggestive themes, violence etc. If people don't liek it, don't buy the game. And it's not like the main character had a gun, like you said Mario, he's the hero, it's different. The Hero of the series having a gun is one thing. The previous arch rival of the hero in a game having a gun is another.

But hearing Sonic swear in the game is another thing as well.

I always love to ask this question, how does blood, language, and suggestive themes improve a game?

The truth of the matter is, they do not. And that also creates a problem.

Mario has been Nintendo's maskot for almost 25 years, and during this time, all of his games have been accessable to anyone.

You can add this sort of content, but I can say that I won't be buying it. And with that, I'll feel that a once grand franchise has been lost.

It's like adding blood to Metroid, or pushing Zelda to a more mature audience.

Some things should just never be used in a video game.

...Shadow the Hedgehog was such a terrible game.

Terrible. Aweful. I cry every time I play it.

I think that game was what really pulled me out of the serious Sonic Fandom.

Sonic Adventure was awesome because it was the first Sonic Walk around Game to have 6 characters to play as. Also, it had the best starting scence besides a Zelda game. maybe. Try to guess which one. Although Sonic adventure 2 was good, you couldnt just walk around, you couldnt play as Amy, Big the Cat, or E-102 Gamma. But i guess they make up E-102 with tails in a robot suit, but then you cant fly around as tails! Also, the new characters were just clones. Sonic Adventure Games are kind of like the Metroid Prime Games. 1st one was great, the second one was good, not great.

Wait, did you play the Japanese version? Because that is the one with Sonic swearing, it was cut for the american version.

Now, I don't wanna seem like a freak, but things like that make games more realistic. Not saying I couldn't have gone without it, but they are more realistic and that's just a fact. Not saying super fast hedgehog's is the most realistic thing in the World, but.....

I also think Mario games always being accesible to everyone is relevant. And the fact of this World is, is that these sorta things are in this World. You can't go in public without hearing swearing, you can't watch t.v. without it etc.

I played Shadow the Hedgehog at my friend's a few days ago, and I must say that guns and hedgehogs never mix. Oh, and IGN was right, the first level of the game is the worst thing I have ever played in my life. I mean, you just jumped off the stage after running some and ran right through fallen blocks.

My favorite Sonic game thus far is Sonic Adventure DX for the Gamecube, followed closely by Adventure 2. The graphics felt smoother than the other 3D Sonic games, and although the Chao Garden is rather awful (except for throwing them off that missile in the Egg Garden, heh heh...), battling Perfect Chaos is pwnsome.

Sonic 2 for the old Gen. It's a classic.

There's an old Game Gear cart that was pretty good too. Forgot the name though.
