A lot of people who say pwned in the real world seem to pronounce pwned a different way.

Personally, I say powned, basically owned with a p in the front. The original pwned was an offshoot of owned, so I pronounce the P. And the only other person I know who pronounces pwned in the real world pronounces it that way. I swear these are all the versions I've heard.

TELL WHAT U PRONOUNCE!

I still say owned, it's just spelt differently.

I say Poond.

...

That's how it's spelt!

P= the P sound.
W= the OO sound
N = the n sound
D = the d sound.

P oo n d

Yay.

"Pooned" is the obvious pronunciation. Not that I would ever actually say it, of course.

I think it's more obvious to people living in Britain, since they have the Welsh place names that use W as the OO vowel sound. Not many people anywhere else would really think W could even be a vowel, especially in the US, where you'd be surprised to find someone who even knows Wales exists and isn't just made up for some prancy title for Prince Charles, who may just be a character made up by the tabloids.

I say owned, just cuz it's supposed to be a typo of that and none of the other ways seem to fit very well.

Most people I know say it like 'pooned' (like, rhymes with 'spoon'd').

I used to say "pawned", but my friends kept on complaining about not saying it right, so I switched to "powned".

POWNED! Or... however you say that... :P

Yes, it's just "owned" with a "p" in front of it.

Add another to that group. It either sounds like something inappropriate, or scatalogical...

Wow, I thought I was the only one who pronounced it the way I did, but Piano Man and Magna Carta pronounce it basically the way I do.

I pronounce it the way it's spelled, pretty much making it pwinned, but I make the 'i' sound as inaudible as possible, making it sound literally like "pwned".

TOTPD!
