I think I idolized both these guys as a kidlette. Who was YOUR favorite?

Bill Nye taught me a lot, and I haven't seen the other one.

So, Bill.

They are both crazy/funny.
But I'll have to go with Beakman.

Bill Nye had the AWESOMEST theme song ever.

No contest, Bill wins.

Bill Nye was awesome.

I've never even heard of Beakman's World.

I picked both, simply because it was too close for me to choose. If I HAD to choose, I'd probably go with Bill Nye because he didn't seem to dumb it down quite as much as Beakman did. Bill Nye was still fun and interesting without being as over-the-top as Beakman.

But hey! You totally forgot about Mr. Wizard!!

While I loved Bill Nye, I remember watching Beakmans when I was younger. That rat guy still haunts me in my dreams. So I choose both.

OMG 90's!

I liked Bill Nye and Beakman equally. They both made science cool.

Like PMG said, it's totally Mr Wizard.

There would be no science-type kids shows without teh Wiz.

I seem to have had the weird channels because I never saw Bill Nye, but I saw Beakman all the time. It was an awesome show, but wikipedia's description of Bill Nye is more impressive. Beakman's just a character played by an actor. Bill Nye is a real guy who actually knows what he's talking about.

Bill Nye, man. He's the guy who made science bearable in middle school (we sometimes watched his shows on tape on Fridays). Add to that his impressive education at Cornell, and for me this becomes an easy poll.

I was totally raised on Beakman, but I found Bill Nye on my own. I loved Bill Nye, but hey, Beakman had Lester... But Bill Nye also had song parodies and "The Blankity--of SCIENCE!"

Oh, and if you're wondering why I left out Mr. Wizard, it's because Bill Nye and Beakman were contemporaries of one another, but Mr. Wizard is a little older than most of the science dudes most forumers would know. I do, however, concur that he was cool.

I remember them both.

Bill Nye is awesome. Sure, sometimes the show would get pretty stupid, but for the most part it was hilarious.

Oh, btw. What's a Beakman?

Bill Nye is so much better than Beakman.

Only because of the "Science rules" in the theme song.

Hey, according to Wikipedia, Beakman's might be coming back. Though they might just be repeats though. Now, if you added Beakman's hair with Bill Nye, that's a formula for a win.

Not sure who beakman is, so I voted for Bill Nye.

Since he does sciency things, he should be called Beakerman. Otherwise he sounds like a... bird...

Bill Nye, followed closely by Mr. Wizard.

I think I only saw one episode of Beakman. It was about magnets.
Beakman: But can your magnet do this? *turns off electromagnet*

Beakman's World had Rayanne from My So-Called Life. So Beakman wins the world.
