Now I am thouroughly depressed. Bill Nye was Disney Corps. answer to Beakman's World. I mean come on, Bill Nye was funny on Almost Live as Speed Walker, but give him a beaker, and he went boring. Plus Beakman had Lester. What did Nye have? That's right, a beaker. Plus, Nye couldn't use HIS last name as an expletive, but Paul Zaloom (Beakman) could! True they jumped the shark right after Josie left (she had the timing), but Nye couldn't hold a creative bunsen burner the the Beakman! (Or am I just taking this a little too seriously?)

I dunno Kene, Nye had some great moments as well. The voiceover guy was always hilarious, in my opinion.

Bill Nye! The Science Guy! I actually only remember one specific thing about him, and that was when they had an episode on teeth...or...bones or something, and he said, "And remember, replace your toothbrush every 6 months."

All I remember about teh other guy is that there was a giant rat thing. Not very... un-creepy.

BILL! BILL! BILL! BILL! Bill Nye the Science Guy! *rawksome theme music*

...yeah. Bill Nye rules for just his theme music alone. Plus, I never really watched that Beaker guy.

I saw a YTMND with a totally kickin' techno remix of the Bill Nye theme. It was fan-freakin-awesome, man.

People don't know who Beakman is? :O :'(

Voted both. As far as I am concerned they are the two pillars of children's science shows.

I'm going to say Bill Nye, mainly because he's the only one I know of.

I should have added an "I don't know either of them well enough to choose!" option. :P Ah well. Fun.

I only really know Beakman from that comic thing he has where people write in & ask him about science & stuff, so I'm-a have to say "Science rules!" and vote Bill Nye.

Who, by the way, was on PBS. ;)

BILL. NYE.

If he hadn't been there in 7th grade science, science wouldn't rule.

Are science teacher showed us this Bill Nye show where he is talking about movement, and it cuts to Samuel Jackson playing golf. And Bill says, "Samuel, what do you think makes that ball move?" And Samuel gave him this look that said get out of my face. It looked hilarious.

Yeah, he totally made 4th grade science a lot more fun. He's probably the reason why I'm still not in the fourth grade.

To be honest, I've never heard of "Beakman's Wolrd"... Sorry Dark Grapefruit. :(

So with that in mind, I voted for... Bill Nye the Science Guy! Yeah, I can never get tired of him. He always makes me laugh with his crazy antics. I never really liked the random kids in his show... but I still think it was pretty rockin'. All those crazy sound effects, the hilarious voiceover guy, he funny images and Bill Nye himself! When he came on TV, I was NEVER afraid to admit that science was fun. Of course, when his show ended, science went back to it's old boring self... but you know...

BILL! BILL! BILL! BILL! BILL! BILL! BILL!

Bill Nye

Ian McKellan

Just a little--not much. Actually, Bill Nye looks a lot more like my composition professor from college, Dr. Nick Rissman.

Edit: Upon inspecting Bill Nye's website, I think it's funny how in the Episode Guide, "Life Science" iis divided into "Human Beings" and "Living Things"...suggesting that humans aren't alive. Science knows all!

He has a new show now. Not sure how long it's been on or where to catch it, though.

I think it might be on PBS, where the "Science Guy" show was on as well. I think I remember reading that on his Wiki page.

Bill Nye pwned Beakman. But I did see Beakman live when I was 6.
But Bill Nye I watched everyday at six up untill about 3rd grade. He had musical guests, and Bob Ross ones.
