so, when you post, do you press Click Here to view your message, or Click Here to return to the forum?

i go for the message when i put in a BBcode object, to check it worked, but when it's just text, i go to back to the forum.

(please don't criticise my poll this time)

I do a little bit of both. I usually check the post right afterwards for spelling errors and the what not.

I look at the message, it is a habit now. But I always preview the post (with the preview button...duh) so I usually click the Idex button in the top right or the forum button in the middle, it depends on where I want to go.

I always click back to the forum. If I had bbcode in the post I preview it until it's right, if not I don't really care. Of course, a lot of the time I use quick reply which automatically brings you to the post.

I just sit there and look at the screen for a few seconds, and it automagically refreshes and goes to the post.

I always view my message to see if there are any spelling or grammatical errors I missed.

More often than not, I just close the tab. But otherwise I do view-your-message, 'cause I like to make sure I didn't make any errors.

Actually, I click the back button, I click the short-term history button on the back button. Then I go to the forum. It's just a little OCD that I don't like my history to be crammed with a bunch of history.

Sometimes I look at my post, sometimes if I'm completely sure it's perfect, or I'm in a rush, I just return to the forum.

I said that I check for mistakes, but I never said that I fix them.

I almost always click "Return to forum". The majority of the time I end up back at my post is when I don't click "return to forum" in time or I'm browsing another website as the post is processing. If I ever eed to check to make sure any code is working, I just click view preview beforehand.

I ALWAYS click "View your message.". Why? Well, I know it doesn't really matter much on a forum, but I always check for spelling and grammatical errors. I also like to see if my HTML coding worked out and if my post looks... well... cool!

Heh, no matter how many times you look over your message, it never fails that something slips through the cracks. Usually I'll catch that right when I hit submit. So "view your message" is a habit now.

I hear you man, I can't even begin to recall the many times when that has happened to me. It's goofy yes, but I like all my posts to be picture perfect... in my eyes at least.

Yeah, right after i hit submit, but before the screen changes is usually where I see my mistake(s). I freaking hate when I do that.

I don't worry about typos that much, I pretty much just check my work as I'm typing, then preview it just to make sure. So yeah, I click here to go back to the forum. What're YOU gonna do about it!?!?!?

I go back to the forum if I'm consciously browsing. No idea why. I just do. But if I have multiple windows open and it automatically goes to my post, I will fix my stupid mistakes and the like.

I'm guessing that was intentional?

Yeah, like a lot of others, I'll only check my message if it contains a picture or link or summat, or if I'm editing another user's post. Otherwise I just go back to the forum.

Oh, and I'll check if I'm voting in a poll and I want to see the results.

I almost never view it, which is why the preview page is there. Unless I see a mistake at the last second.
