Because I felt "Most Hated" was a bit strong. ;) Don't get me wrong, I love Star Wars. If I didn't, I probably wouldn't be making this poll. Still, there are aspects of Star Wars that manage to irk even the most devoted fans.

What is the least beloved aspect of Star Wars? George Lucas's constant retconning? Certain irritating comedy characters?

(An aside: I came up with this poll after reading an interesting article on the possibility of an Ewok extinction. Apparently, there is fan discussion that Endor ecology could not have been possibly unaffected by the destruction of a 900km wide space station. Hence, the Rebels may have inadvertantly caused the extinction of the Ewok race. Pretty weird, though unabashedly geeky, stuff.)

I say the Midichlorians is something that could have been left out. It took away from the mystical nature of the Force.

This is easily either the prequels OR the superfans.

There's nothing wrong with being obsessed with a movie or TV show, but when you start naming your children after characters, that's just going too far. When you act like you're a moral, culture, or intellectual superior to someone who doesn't like the movies, that's going too far.

Sorry, but I've just met too many superfans.

Well, the midichlorians went too far, like what BTG said. It made them explain it and everything about how it worked.

Man, each of these deserves a vote.

Greedo shoots first! (the 1997 SE retcon)
Midichlorians
Hayden Christiansen is a Force Ghost (ROTJ, 2004 update)
Jar Jar Binks

I settled on the Force Ghost thing though. Mostly because Hayden Christiansen reminds me of the prequels, and I don't want to remember them when I'm watching the real trilogy.

Ewoks, because just plain old Hayden wasn't a choice.
Ewoks, to me, seemed like a desperate ploy to grab the 3-6 year old market, while preparing more multiple toy deals at the same time.

It's a toss up between Jar Jar and the Ewoks. I'm probably gonna vote Jar Jar for sheer stupidity.

I don't understand why everyone likes the Ewoks, though. They're really annoying. That should have been the Wookie planet in RotJ, not Endor. The Ewoks look like they crawled out of the prequels, and that's one of the main reasons I prefer The Empire Strikes Back.

Though I'm not a fan of Star Wars, I believe that they could;ve left the love scenes in the prequels out.

Oh man, you guys are going in all the wrong directions here! Nothing, and I mean NOTHING beats Chewy! His roar has become one of the most well-known alien screeches around! He can pilot a mean Millenium Falcon, he's got that neato sash, he's good with weapons and plus... HE'S FREAKIN' CHEWY! Come on guys... CHEWY! Did you know he could be Luke Skywalker's REAL father? You didn't? Well, George Lucas' alternate ending to Star Wars says different.

Heh. I would LOVE to see that.

Chewbacca: *roars*
Luke: NOOOOOOOOOOOO- Wait, what did you say?

While I am VERY tempted to say Jar-Jar, I'm going with the young Aniken force ghost.

Yuk yuk yuk, I misread the poll. I thought this was about your most beloved Star Wars moment. Heh heh, man I was way off. How could I miss the "least"? Oye...

But anyways, I know this reply doesn't matter much, since I've already voted, but my least beloved aspect of Star Wars would definitely be Jar Jar Binks. I mean, you just can't take him seriously, and he's completely unecessary. Jar Jar Binks = no... just, no.

Just out of curiosity, what did you vote for? Because it would tickle me pink if somehow you thought: "MIdichlorians! Man, those things rawked!"

Don't worry. I won't flame you for it. ;)

I voted "Chewbacca's Tarzan scream" because Chewy is my most BELOVED aspect of Star Wars. :p Oh, and no worries, I can take the heat. After all, you know what Tool says...

"10,000 days in the fire is long enough..."
