There were a ton of franchises, which was your favorite? |

My money's on the NES series. Yep, plain old Megaman. I cut my video game teeth playing games like that. MegaMan X was cool, but the NES games still hold too much of a place in my heart. |

Classic for the win. Also, that Ryusei no Rockman thing...isn't that the one where it's almost exactly like Battle Network only "200 years in the future wooo!" and from a 3d perspective? Yeah, I never really like the Battle Network series. Stick with the sidescrollers, I say. Although Legends was awesome. |

Proof that megaman X isnt megaman 10 Scroll down to the bottom and you will see that the megaman original series ends at 8. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mega_Man_8 |

Someone showed a comic showing a guy yelling at another guy about Megaman X. Guy 1: Did you ever play Megaman 10? Guy 2: No, just Megaman X. Guy 1: That was Megaman 10! Oh, and I agree. Megaman Legends was so good and so should of have more glamour. Or a 3rd game. |

Tycho from Penny Arcade did once. Some people who don't know the series too well are under that impression. |

Thanks, Exhibit A. Now what I find intresting is that Megaman 2 said that Megaman was created in 200X, which Capcom said is 2008. Kinda puts in perspective how old the series is. |

^^ Did Capcom ever give an official date to 200X? I didn't think they did. Voted classic, it never gets old and I can speedrun some of them. X is close, and X4 is one of my favourites, but X6 really drags the series down. Zero I've only played 1 and it was really hard. Never played Legends or Battle Network, plan on getting ZX soon. |

Classic Mega Man owns all. Nothing beats the cheesey animal-type enemies that fit no where into the scheme of the level, amazing sound tracks and jump and fire fun. The X series went away from the platformer part of Mega Man, Battle Network is just an RPG with a Mega Man coat of paint. |

"Megaman Racing"? I'm assuming you mean the single game "Battle & Chase".{/snobbyfanboyism} Original series wins. My favorite robot master is Shade Man. I like vampires. Favorite Maverick is Rainy Turtloid. He's huge and could destroy a city before lunch if he wanted to. |

Quick Man had the most challenging world. Sure, you could wuss out and use the Time Stopper, but if you were the man (now dog), you would gut it out and make it through the laser rooms without the time stopper. It is possible. Dang near impossible, but it CAN be done! |

^My strategy for that is to run it at first and THEN use Time Stopper when it gets difficult. And then there's the one in Megaman X5 that's even harder. |

Noid, Megaman X5 was terrible. Or wikipedia says it is anyway. Also Dark Grapefruit, it says Megaman was around 2008 in the link provided. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megaman_2 |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megaman_2 It says 2008 there, but where did that come from? I, like DG, are curious as to whether or not Capcom actually said that. There's no doubt that someone on wikipedia thinks so, but just because it's on wikipedia doesn't make it true. |

Truthfully, a citation is needed there, too. I would love to see where capcom has said these things. I'm-a do a google search and see if anything comes up. |

I like the classics. And Mega Man powered Up, since it pretty much is one of the classics. |

C'mon, say it with me now: Duff McWhalen. (Tidal Makoeen if you really must, but is there a funner name than Duff McWhalen?) With the ice blocks and the spikeys and the level with the giant submarine and GOO SHAVER. |

The only Megaman I like is classic Megaman. I'm talking like... the very first Megaman series here. For some reason, I could never get into all the more recent Megamen games. I guess they were just too... flashy for me. I'm all about the classic games, and nothing beats classic Megaman on the Super NES. Holla back! |

The Classic Megaman series is the best. The only other one I've actually played is Battle Network (1-3). It was pretty good in some respects, but not as good as Classic. Beaums wrote: EDIT: Fine fooey! Sorry 'bout the accidental double post.
![]() Next time that happens, just click the "X" in the top right corner, before other people reply to the thread (you can't do it now, of course). |

Beamus, you are talking about Megaman 7 and 8 correct? Because that is the only original series megaman games.... |

You mean X6. X5 was the last one made by the original creator, I believe. And Firemarc, you mean on the SNES, I presume. Because if 7 and 8 were the only classic series ones. then...

X5 is iffy. It's certainly not the greatest, and I can see how some people might dislike it more than X6, but I did not. 7 and MM and Bass are the only SNES classic games. 8 is for PS1. |
