Seeing as there are a lot of Weird Al fans (and former fans) on this board, I thought this might be a fun poll to do.

So, in honor of the debut of his new CD, I gotta ask: what is your favorite Weird Al video?

FUN FACT #1: Weird Al often films the video in the same location as the original.

FUN FACT #2: Don McLean has admitted that sometimes he accidentally starts "American Pie" with the lyrics of "The Saga Begins." He blames his kids... they played the song so much that he confuses the lyrics.

I picked "other." I like White And Nerdy the best.

Wow. Didn't know he had a video out already. I just checked it out.

I gotta admit, I laughed at the "Star Wars: Holiday Special" bit. :p

Amish Paradise was arguably the funniest music video of Weird Al. How could you not laugh at the part where the framing almost lands on him, and he makes a motion for the raisers to pull it back?

It's got to be Eat It. I mean, that one was freaking hilarious. Best ever in my opinion.

You need to check out his other videos, then. All of them are pretty much available on YouTube and Google videos. :)

Start off with some of the big hitters on this poll ("Amish Paradise" and "Smells Like Nirvana") and maybe check out other major ones like "Fat" and "All About the Pentiums." (That last one is thematically the same as "White & Nerdy" --- a rap about doing nerd things --- plus it has Drew Carey.)

For extra fun, track down the videos that Al parodied and compare the similarities. Hours of fun! Seriously. :p

Oh, I never mentioned who I voted for.

I went with "Bedrock Anthem." It's not the most famous video, but it combines the nutritiousness of Weird Al with the whole wheat goodness of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Add in a dash of footage from the "Flintstones" cartoon and you got a winner. "Bedrock Anthem" actually mashes three videos: it starts off with short homages to Blind Melon and RHCP's own "Under The Bridge." Then it segues into the black-and-white video for "Give it Away Now." The best stuff is when Al parodies the artsy and sometimes suggestive closeups from the original video.

The only downside? Flea apparently wasn't too happy with the final product. He wasn't a fan of the chorus ("Yabba-dabba-doo-now.")

For second, I would go with "Headline News." I managed to see this before I saw the Crash Test Dummies original version. Let me say that when I saw the CTD video, I was terribly disappointed. Al managed to one-up them for being way more surreal, almost to the level of a David Lynch movie. I mean, the Weird Al vid had a half-naked midget,a sumo wrestler, a piano player in drag, and an insane guy with a dog puppet.

CTD seems to love "Headline News" and have performed the song (complete with kazoos) at a Weird Al concert.

Third? "Fat." Just because if you ain't fat, you ain't nuthin'. You ain't NUTHIN'!

The Saga Begins. When he's in the bar, and all of the aliens are dancing, it just is...hilarity.

Smells Like Nirvana's has always been my favorite, though White and Nerdy and It's All About the Pentiums are good.

I'd have to say Smells like Nirvana for the pure genius of it. But Amish Paradise coming in a close second.
I bought this DVD a while ago which has all 25 of his video clips on it. (Before Straight Outta Lynwood of course.)

I voted "Dare to be Stupid" cause it was my first exposure to Al, "Transformers: The Movie".
