That was beautiful! I loved every minute of it. Homestar-The Cheat and The Cheat-Homestar were awesome. I can't think of anything bad about this email.

"I feel all jangly inside" 10/10

T-O-T-P-D, T-O-T-P-D, and Totped was his name-o! :eekdance:

[backontopic]So, I've come to realize that the real best part of this email is when Strong Mad says, "THE CHEAT IS SO A COW!!" Funny.

Also, why is the Cheat covered in lip prints? Marzipan never kisses Homestar...[/backontopic]

That could very well be because Homestar isn't really that nice to Marzipan. The Cheat must have been a bit more, ermm, polite, I suppose.

It was okay; Homestar pretending to be the Cheat was pretty funny, but I can't say it was my favorite. Strongbad seemed very out of character during his little song... Usually he's a bit full of himself, but none of the characteristics he described in his song are very redeeming. Than, considering his admiration for Senor Cardgage, I suppose his views are somewhat different than others. The whole email was slightly warped as well, so... Erm... I'm not exactly sure what I'm getting at...

Meh. I give it a 6/10 for effort.

Did you notice that homestar seemed preety happy while eating that change, and that SB used the eye expression from "long pants".
If homestar keeps eating change, he might go blind from nickel poisoning, like Peter Griffin

This email was GREAT!!
I am so glad that Chaps didn't answer my email. I can think of how it would have turned out. Problematic.

Anyway, I loved everything about this email.

I haven't exactly read this thread yet, but I can safely say that this email was one of the bestest ever. So hilarious. Coach Zed, Homestar dressed as the Cheat (and vice versa), the do-overs, the candle music, the money, the lowered eyes again, blah de blah de blah... 'twas perfect. Absolutely perfect.

"Like a million stars!"

It had some really good moments. I don't think it was their best though... just among them.

I thought it was a solid email, although it was kinda weird. 8/10

Does anyone think the drawing of Coach Zed looks like Snoopy's cousin from the Peanuts comic strip?

Were you being sarcastic? I usually rate stuff on a scale of 0 to 5 The Cheats. With The Cheat was pretending to be Homestar and vice versa, I decided to make a little joke. See? It's a joke.

Oh, now I get it. Silly me.

Why didn't I see that...?

That was...the best email...I've ever watched. OK, maybe not, but it was really good. I liked the "do-over" screen on the Lappy, since I sent SB an email last week asking about the "deleted" screen for the Lappy. I like to think that that was for me

I don't think the "do-over" screen was the Lappy's "DELETED!!!" screen, because it sort of had the opposite effect, with bringing the email back and all.

Oh, and welcome to the Homestar Runner Wiki Forum. :) :hr:

I noticed that too. Grood email, 10/10.
It makes me all jangly inside! - Best, line, ever!

I actually envisioned that HR had the Cheat tied up somewhere while he took his place, I didn't think that they wouldhave swapped places. But it makes sense now. The Cheat is quite the ladies man!!

The song was odd, little animal was funny, and The Cheat as Homestar cracked me up. It's also a good thing that Marzipan eats SOY chips!

Man, this is a great e-mail. I liked it a lot. I loved Homestar eating the change.

I remember reading TBC say that if they were to become a TV show, they wouldn't have the creative freedom to add something new two hours before they updated.

Now, here's my hypothesis: TBC were watching Family Guy, saw Peter eat all the nickels and thought, "Hey! That sort of thing fits in nicely with the email we're doing!" So they added that line at the last minute.

Now don't think I'm accusing TBC of plagiarizing, I see it as one great comedic force taking inspiration from another.

That was a good email. I liked how The Cheat was Homestar, and vice versa.

I'll give this A-.

Oh. Em. Gee. AWEXOME!!!

It's really one of those truly great emails....but it didn't really make me laugh out loud too much for some reason...not like Long Pants did >_>

9/10 ^^

Did anyone else notice that the tab-button flash easter egg seeker didn't work in this email? It doesn't for me.

9/10- I loved this email!

Very good, entertaining e-mail. After the first couple viewings, I probably wouldn't put it as the best of the Lappy era like some here already seem to, mostly because the whole 'do-over' e-mail concept didn't live up to what it could have been. However, Homestar as The Cheat was one of the most priceless things in the site's history, and along with Strong Mad's 'THE CHEAT IS SO A COW!!!!' line, that put it over the top considerably. I'll have to give this one a B+, only dropped a bit in the rating from an A or A- because if the Bros are gonna reuse/revise old material, it should be reused REALLY well, which didn't quite happen.

Ugh. Homestar, why did you take such a bad role in this one? Homestar was great in Bug in Mouth Desease, but Homestar as The Cheat didn't really seem that great to me. So I put it as my avatar.

Whoa... is it just me or have the glory days of Homestar Runner returned? This is the 5th straight week with an EXCELLENT update:
1) Rampage
2) Marzipan Machine XII
3) Garage Sale
4) Bug in Mouth Disease
5) Do Over
I was a bit skeptical after Rock Opera and the Lil Brudder Show, but TBC have definitely not lost their touch!

7/10...not bad, I liked rampage better.

But homestar as the cheat...wow...weirdness.

Gah I think that every one is over-rated because truly each new sbemail is a really good one, right? TBC create a medium of comedy that can't be measured by rating, at least I think.

Anywho, what was the deal with the candle? I was sorta thinking it was paying homage to when olde-timey writers wrote by candlelight and such.

I was thinking it was Strong Bad's attempt to be romantic. You know, like a romantic candlelit dinner, followed by an egg-drop soup eating contest.

No woman can resist. ;)

Hur.. That was kind of funny. Homestar as The Cheat= kinda creepy.
But Coach Zed (or was it Zeb...?) was adorable.
Come on Sed Bed, Coach Z doesn't suck that bad! Gurr.
And Homestar Runner from school...? Doesn't that suggest something?
