whoa. there's like, no new topic for this? ok.....well, there's a new short out, and this is it!

Link: http://www.homestarrunner.com/senorialday.html

what do we all think of it? i like Bubs' rubbish jokes, and Strong Bad in awe of Senor Cardgage. if anything, there was a bit too much of S.Cardgage. like Homsar, he should be distributed in small doses.....

obligatory wiki link --DG

Yeah the site was down for a couple of days, that's why. I hated how senor cardgage stole strong bad's football, but he did give it back when he hit strong sad with it.

I'm trying to decide whether or not I'm offended by this yet. I'm not sure if TBC are making fun of our fallen soldiers, or of the retail madness that's taken over this solemn holiday.

I'm pretty sure it's the latter.

Anyway, this was pretty sweet. I liked the football easter egg.

I liked the parts with Senor Cardgage, but the parts with Bubs were just boring and not funny. They shouldn't have even put him in this email. Other then that, pretty good!

Funniest part: Easter egg. Strong Sad getting hit by things is always hilarious.

I thought this was great. It was one of the best shorts in a long time, much better than the L'il Brudder Show.

Also, Bubs is awesome. I'm glad this short had him in it.

Overall, 9/10.

It was great. I like Senor Cardgage's return and it's only a matter of time before he gets his own Characters Page. Also, when Bubs first appeared, I laughed and thought "Now this is going to be hilarious."

Awexome. 5 outta 5 The Cheats.
     /

P.S. Did anyone else notice that when Senor Cardgage pretended to throw the football, Strong Bad acted just a like a kid playing with his father? At least, that's how it seemed to me.

I liked it. Bubs trying a bad pun can't all be bad... :D

I would love some explanations as to how Homestar can throw confetti on BOTH sides of the screen at the same time...

Bubs C. Stand is his full name. Not really surprising... ;)

I liked it a lot. I like how Bubs and Senor were sortof competing for sales on Memorial Day and Bubs kept telling bad puns. Also, I chuckled everytime Senor just didn't throw the football but kept rambling on. I also thought the Easter Egg was going to be Strong Sad too late for all of the sales. Getting hit is always a good way to end a short though.

I'll give it an 8/10

Actually, I seriously cracked up at that.
"I'ma get me a touchdown!"

Made me laugh a lot. 8/10

It was funny. But when it went out my computer wouldn't let me on the wiki or forum. So I couldn't see what the wiki had to say.

...It just went out of bandwidth, everyone had this problem.

Anyway, when I say Bubs, I knew it was going to be hilarious. Great Senor Cardgage return!

9/10

This was great, my favorate bit was where Strong Bad as for Tremendous Savings, and Senors Autograph

Strong Bad: Yes, excuse me, sir, can I have some tremendous savings and your autograph?
Senor Cardcage: My left name is Tremendous Savings, Miss America!

Well I really liked it, though Bubs' advertising was a little irritating to sit through. I laughed out loud when Senor Cardgage just walked off the screen with StrongBad's football. That was great.

If this toon was just a bit irritating, it's because it was supposed to be. It's making jest of all the shameless advertising and sales drives that businesses have on Memorial Day. Someone above thought it might be making fun of fallen soldiers; I don't see that at all. This was a great toon, longer than I expected it to be. Bubs's terrible puns were hilarious in the context of the toon; I especially liked the baby rattle with a sawblade sticking out of it ("We're going gaga over slashed prices"). And Senor Cardgage is always a welcome, albeit creepy, sight.

I'll give it "good prize"!

p.s. Have you noticed that the characters have been dressing up as each other quite frequently recently? We had Homestar as The Cheat and The Cheat as Homestar, and now Homestar as Bubs in this toon. Weird. :hr:+ :bubs: =Bubstar C. Runner?

I liked this short. It's a great parody of those car commercials advertising their "MEMORIAL DAY BLOWOUTS", and stuff. My favorite part was the easter egg...

 : Ow! Somebody hit me on the slant.

I give it an 8.5/10.

As others have said, first time I saw Bubs in this cartoon, I knew it was going to be downright hilarious. It reminds me of so many of those awful low-budget car-dealership commercials where they dress up and try to use all that to sell used cars. Needless to say, this cartoon had me rolling on the floor.

As for Homestar on two sides of the screen, who knows... maybe one of them is actually Strong Bad dressed up again, like in 2002's Halloween toon (where he wasn't "The Bee" after all!).

Ben F. Schumin :-)

Wow, excellent cartoon. TBC are on a roll. I don't think there was any part of this I din't like, and I'm not a fan of Cardgage. It was just such a perfect parody of all those horrible ads for furniture stores or whatever. A+

Freaking awexome! Senor and Bubs were in top form in this one, and the advertising parodies couldn't have been more dead on. I don't usually jump on the 'this is one of the best toons on the site' bandwagon, but really, it was. Particular highlights: Bubs' ID card, "Gambol around the campfire, children! It's Senor Cardgage with the Senorial Day Tent thing that guy talked about.", and Homestar's Bubs costume. An easy A.
