I thought it was pretty good, I liked the part where Homestar and Strong Bad suddenly appeared when you least expected it.

Good stuff.

Great day for update! A new game AND a Strong Bad E-mail!! I loved Strong Bad singing that song! Not very good in the comic, but the Strong Mad easter egg was funny.

I laughed when SB talked about that West Is Lip song! And, there was even an egg with that description! But, I still wish we could have gotten a real answer to why The KOT has a Poopsmith instead of a few comic strips. Though, I did like how everyone was drawn crappily in that comic!

Rushed? They clearly put tons of work into those comics. They had to develop completely new looks for four of the characters.

I thought the overall cartoon was kinda so-so. Jones is right, though- The cartoon drawings must've taken a lot of time. I think it would be fun to see this expanded on in the future.

Ditto: This one WAS just sort of so-so. Probably a better idea on paper. If the funnies had looked more like a black and white comic from the 1910's or something, I think I would have appreciated it more - it would have been a good satire on the way comedy has evolved. As it was, it seemed to be trying to satire two different eras of comic-stripdom(?): The earliest strips from the turn of the last century, and relatively unfunny comic strips like Wizard of Id and B.C. from the 70's/80's.

I must admit though, the "Mushy Chamberpot" thing was pretty funny. I wonder if we are going to get into a Senor Cardgage/CCOSB style debate in this forum over whether that is the Poopsmith's real name or not. If so, let me fire the opening salvo (bad choice of words when concerning Poopsmith) in THAT debate by saying "I don't think it is."

Anyway... duck guardian was stupid.

*Sigh*. Another E-mail that accuses the English of all still being stuck-up, snotty snobs. Oh well. It's just words, and they won't go away.

The E-mail was kind of cool, I did like Strong Mad's brilliant five seconds in the E-mail. And the Mushy Champerpot. The comics themselves, focusing on "so unfunny that it's funny at how crap it is" was pretty funny.

I rate it Not Last Place. Ding.

it was okay. Could be better, but it was interesting to see some "Homestar" in newspaper.

BTW, for some reason, before I read the by-line, I KNEW that Sportsinterview fellow drew it, and I was right!

Also, the strip stretches longer than the usual comics today. I guess they don't care much.

Heh. Or not.

The Clash's first gig was opening for The Sex Pistols. The Clash formed in 1976, The Sex Pistols formed a year earlier. But even whether The Sex Pistols were the first punk band is up for debate. The Ramones formed in 1974. But even before that, in 1972 The New York Dolls formed, and in 1967 The Stooges, following MC5 in 1966 and The Fugs in 1965. Those bands could just as well be called "proto-punk", however, since the actual term "punk" was first used to describe a band in 1971, when David Marsh (a writer for Creem magazine) used it in an article about a band called ? & the Mysterians.

But thanks for playing, and we have some lovely consolation prizes for you.

You're right. Referencing a fictitious British new wave band is equivalent to badmouthing the entire nation.

And since you have such a knack for reading into things, I'll assume you got the sarcasm in that statement.

Meh. Too many plot holes.
There is no way :hr: and :sb: were alive before 1947.
There is no way :kot: and the Poopsmith were that old before 1947.

I'm getting sick of saying this: don't use emoticons in place of actual words.

And "plot holes"? Seriously.

Plot holes? We have someone who takes the site WAY too seriously... This is a gag site, NOT a webcomic!

Wait.. so if it were a web comic we'd be concerned with plot holes? Someone takes web comics WAY too seriously.

Please note that the kind of webcomics I like are Bob and George and Irregular Webcomic... I wouldn't know much about non-storyline ones...
