So... what's the best song ever? I'm making it a poll, but put any comments you want.

"Everybody to the Limit" and "Home Star Run Go" Are favorites of mine, but my heart will always belong to "It's Like it Was Meant to be" from the cd. Yep. That's about it.

I got mad at The Cheat, UNH!
For screwing up the jumble caper
I hope I don't see his name in the paper
In the obituarieeeeeees!
'Cause that would mean that he's dead
The Cheat is not dead
So glad The Cheat is not dead
The Cheat is not dead
So glad The Cheat is not dead
JUST THE CLAPS!
JUST THE CLAPS!
Keep it rolling for me guys, keep it rollin'.

Experimental Film is easily the best one on there. Though 2nd would have to be The Cheat is Not Dead.

Homestar Run GO. I love that, it's sweet. Home...star...run. Run. The Very Low Sodium Band make it sound great in their H*R tribute song.

Oh, that's hard. I voted for Experimental Film in the end. Runners-up: Everybody to the Limit, Ballad of the Sneak, Different Town, The Cheat is Not Dead.

The stuff I couldn't put up includes Puppet Stuff, :coachz: 's Hip Hop Dance, Technochocolate, or any other song you liked. Strong Sad Rocks Out, though not on the site, is another one.

I don't really think Experimental Film quite counts as a H*R song, as it doesn't have anything to do with Homestar & Company. It's just a song that They Might Be Giants asked TBC to do a video for. It doesn't make the song or video any less awesome, it just doesn't quite fit with the others.

Gah, that's a tough one. I voted for Homestar Run Go just because I must have listened to it over twenty times when I first found the site, and I still go back and watch it every now and then. It's such a catchy little song.

Yeah, it's got to be Exp. Film (to lazy to spell the whole word). I bought the cd just because of that song. I'm a dork.

You're right, but it's one of the toons on the site, which is what the poll is about.

Ooh, I'd forgotten about Coach Z's Hip Hop Dance. That qualifies as a retrospective runner-up.

If it was about the toons featuring the songs, then he could've been a tad more specific, since the thread itself asks "Best Song Ever."

And at any rate, I was just giving my reason as to why I didn't vote for Experimental Film. It's great, but it's not really H*R related. So I voted for the Ballad of the Sneak which, though not done by the Brothers Chaps either, at least deals with H*R (or at least 1936 era Homestar).

Sorry. I just meant the best song on the site, but I couldn't fit more than ten songs in the poll.

I voted for Ballad of the Sneak over Experimental Film because it was written specifically for the site. And I might have voted for it anyway because it's even more left field than TMBG's song.

As for songs written entirely by TBC (which removes my next favorite, Different Town) my favorite is...

"Stave it off, 123 and now you can count to three!"

Mwa-ha-ha... How could you really think that was my favorite? But I bet it's in your head now! The evil plan is working... Vwee-hee-hee

The best song TBC have written is "Because it's Midnite," just because of how well it's able to incorporate every single bad hair band cliche in the book yet still be totally awesome. Then again, it's kind of like how "The System is Down" is able to take every bad techno cliche in the book and create something completely awesome from it. (Especially the extended Strong Bad Sings CD mix.) Geez, now that I keep thinking about it, TBC seem to have a knack for turning musical cliches into great product. Like "Circles."

As far as the best song they did a cartoon for (and they wrote the song for themselves), I'd actually have to say "Homestar Run Go!" because come on. If H*R was a TV cartoon series, that would SO be the opening credits.

To quote an old Connect Four commercial I have stuck in my head thanks to VH1's "I love the...": "That was preeety sneaky sis"...I mean Skippy

Anydangway, I voted 4 Different Town, because it's an instant classic! I mean:

* The Poopsmith speaketh!
*Homestar calls it quits!
*The KoT, pea-buried alive?!
plus, it also has that TMBG element involved

Technically, you cursed. Abbreviating curses still makes them curses.

Does anybody think I should make a second poll? Lots of people have said they missed stuff that I couldn't put on here.

I like Everybody to the Limit, Stave it off, and Circles, but my vote would definately have to go for Experimental Film.
