Man, that was hilarious. I like the HUGE Marshmallow's Last Stand reference.

Darn, the only reason I signed up here was so I could get the first post on a new email for once.

Ah, well. Not a bad episode.

This marks the second appearance of
Mustachio Homestar
from
Senorial Day
.

Yes, gotta love the references to the old toon not currently available on the site. Marshmallow's Last Stand, that is. Great reference to Bush's Baked Beans - "The Cheat, roll that beautiful email footage"!

Haven't they done the "let's make fun of our old style" bit a few times already? Well, anyways, very enjoyable, and good to see them use the authentic old Strong Bad voice rather than the one from Flashback.

That's like the best e-mail onna list. Seriously. The whole thing was funny, especially the CD song at the beginning.

Great email. Loved the "Marshmellow's Last Stand" reference. It really does look like it was animated many years ago.

Wow. Strong Bad is so out of date...he actually still use laserdisk (for those who don't know, laserdisk is basically a DVD, but larger.) Buuuuut, at least he didn't use a film reel.

I see the mustached Homestar is (technically) used again.

This was a great email, I liked how TBC decided to do a flashback again to the OLD animation style.

It was funny though. 9/10

Also, about the easter egg of Strongbad's Dream, could that be a possible reference to The Simpsons episode "Bart The Daredevil", in which Homer ended up falling down a canyon after accidentally going over the canyon?

I just LOVED that with all of my heart. Crazy beans double the real gold. And it was real gold to begin with. And I actually got to add something to the Wiki! (SB evolution, second design. I didn't log in, though. Bleh. I never bother.)

Wow, that was so awesome. The awesomeness just drips from that email. A little risque, not to mention creepy with the sandpaper part, but other than that, pure genius. No wonder it took them so long to make since they had to do it all with the Marshmellow's Last Stand animation. Best part? The fact that I can go into school tomorrow and say "Isn't the new sbemail awesome?" and everyone will go "THERE'S A NEW ONE!?"

That was awesome. I had just watched Marshmallow's Last Stand like 30 minutes ago. Talk about a Stupid Coincidence Magazine, I mean stupid coincidence.

Not exactly outstanding funny, but I loved the laserdisc song. And when Strong Bad kept saying "holy crap." Also funny hearing Matt Chapman impersonating his older version of Strong Bad xD

That was awesome!
I liked the laser disc song, and the real old authentic voices for the flashback part, and the "Mongolian aftershave".
Also funny how SB was talking like the StrongBad Talker game.
And his overuse of Holy crap.

Even TBC must have realised that the voices have changed over time as well as we have.

9/10

Pretty good! The disc song was good, and I liked when Strong Bad threw the anvil into the audience. Not great, but pretty good. 7/10

That was great. I loved The Cheats and SB's laser disk song. And the whole Marshmallow's Last Stand scene was great.

I was disappointed when Pom Pom didn't appear though, because he played some a large part in MLS.

All in all, 4 outta 5 The Cheats + one creepy-eyed MLS-style The Cheat.

Best parts:

-Laserdisc song
-The Chaps singing the Ding ding ding song
-Strong Bad sleeping

Laughed out loud in those moments. Wish the middle part was more funny.

Hahahaha, TBC. We don't reference [s]High Score[/s] Marshmallow's Last Stand anymore.

Solid email with several laughs, a bit better than the last. It was a great spoof of the old style, especially with SB saying Holy Crap at every possible moment. Looks like Missy is finally back (did we ever know for sure she had gone somewhere?). I lost it at the end when he falls asleep again and at the easter egg. I'm a sucker for retro styles, so I'll give this a B+.

Wow, that was just great. Definitely a bit risky, but they captured the crudeness of the old cartoons great! The sandpaper part is definitely not, uh, as CLASSY as I expect Homestar to be, but that made the old feel more realistic.

Do you think that Super Chapman Brothers are watching the forum as well as the wiki now? Its funny how they "explained" Mustachio the week that we started the topic about him in General Discussion...

Wow! A new sbemail. I loved the use of a laserdisk and how almost the whole thing was based on Marshmallow's Last Stand. Strong Bad's advice and The Cheat's eyes cracked me up. I liked how Marzipan kept saying "me too." I wish there was more to it, but I'm satisfied as is.

   :cheatgrin:/10.

Mustachio Homestar reappeared. Interesting.

10/10. Would be a 9/10, but it referenced Marshmallows Last Stand!

I think that person was wondering if that was the first email Strong Bad ever received, but not the first he answered.

I thought it was good... it was pretty funny but not laugh out loud funny. More than anything I enjoyed the giant MLS reference. Nostalgia always gets me. Very good email.

I just thought of this: people who have never seen or heard of Marshmallow's Last Stand will be confused by this.

Yeah, I know. I mean, if I never discovered this wiki, I would have never seen or heard of Marshmallow's Last Stand. I guess with old stuff like "The King of Town" toon, those people would just figure its an old style or something.

Yeah. The "casual" fans will be lost with this email. Us "obsessed" fans know where this is coming from.

The email was kinda short, but the big flashback made it worth it.
