The Brothers Chaps just released a new toon called Cool Things. I think that it's okay. It's got nice humor, and Homestar was priceless in this episode, and Strong Sad and Bubs were pretty funny too. Plus, there's a pretty good song at the end. Oh, by the way, I think the plot is a little random, but still.

The only thing I was disappointed/ticked off at, Strong Bad makes an appearance in an Easter Egg. No matter what, he ALWAYS has to sneak himself into a toon. I thought that this would be the first toon in a while with no Strong Bad, nor any traces of Strong Bad (which includes 20X6, 1936, TGS, Sweet Cuppin Cakes, and those stuff).

Oh, and by the way. Today is one of those days when Marzipan is Homestar's girlfriend, considering the Easter egg in "lady...ing".

Yes, I thought it was well done. I also thought Strong Bad was actually NOT going to be in this one, but alas, he sneeks in. Oh well, I don't mind that much.

I also agree with the plot being random...very random. From Being Bored to getting paint to perfoming a song...whoa, what just happened?

And it had good humor. But I think the "So-and-So moved away after the 5th Grade" thing was used one too many times. My favorite part was the "Death Hole" ...or was it "Hole of Death" ...I gotta look at that again. It was one of the most random/unexpected things I've ever seen on H*R.

Overall, it was pretty random, but I enjoyed it none the less.

4 homsar's out of 5.

:homsar: :homsar: :homsar: :homsar: / :homsar: :homsar: :homsar: :homsar: :homsar:

C'mon, it's just one easter egg.

And this one toon is probably my favorite. Homestar falling in the Death Hole, him giving Strong Sad the paint and wishing him good luck, Homestar Runner in general. Hilarious.

I don't get it.

I mean, the song was okay, but that's about it.

Maybe it's just because I'm in a weasl mood today.

I was losing faith in Homestar Runner... This cartoon was really better then those dang ol' Strongbad E-mails we're getting lately.

Quite a treat for a quite Monday morning. I think TBC needed a change of scenery and opted against doing yet another Strong Bad Email (not that they're bad or anything) - It's just fun to see updates to other areas of the site like Marzipan's Answering Machine, for example.

I will have to agree with porplemontage above... Homestar falling into that Death Hole did it for me, too. And his interactions with dumpus were priceless. "Dripping yellow madness moved away after 5th grade..."
I like how we get to hear his "kick ball" belly noise again! SF writeup.

I liked the Marzi grin. I LOVED the song. The Cheat is a cute drummer. Most of it, I admit, didn't really seem funny to me for some reason, but I still liked it. Somehow.

Marzipan has teeth?? Thats the first time I've ever seen her teeth out. It's like when I watched the origional KOT on the KOT DVD and saw his mouth.

Any way,

:p :p :p / :p :p :p :p :p

Loved it. The hilarity was priceless, and did anyone else notice Homestar seemed smarter than usual? Maybe he's been staying out of Strong Bad's house...

This new toon was pretty funny. I had doubts about a toon without Strong Bad, but this pulled it off quite nicely. That song was pretty good. I liked how Dripping Yellow Madness and Stan were real people. I figured Strong Sad was going to paint the wall. I got tricked a little bit at the end with the tape being yellow. It made it tough to realize where the eggs were via tabbing. I still managed to find them both, though. I wonder if Cool Tapes will ever reband. TBC seems to have listened to those too much of Strong Bad fans.

TBC always seem to update in the morning when I don't check it imediately, and always seem to update in the afternoon when I do check it imediately. Either way, I don't get to do the transcript or start the thread.

I ahve to disagree with almost everyone hear, I was kinda dissapointed. The death hole was pretty funny, and I liked Bubs stealing his own paint, but that was pretty much it. The rest wasn't that great. Though I'm glad they did another toon featuring Homestar. 5/10

Hehe. I liked this toon. Really random, but random's a good thing. I liked the show on tv in the Easter Egg. "That truck..."

Marzipan with teeth looks kinda scary. But it's not the first time we've seen her teeth. In Powered by the Cheat 'Mile', you can see them. When she says "Keep it up, Strong Bad, keep up the pace." Does that count??

Excellent, excellent toon. Actually, I think it's my favorite toon.

I loved Dripping Yellow Madness and the "giant" Death Hole. So great. 30/10.

It's only a matter of time before someone called "Dripping Yelow Madness" joins the forum now, you just watch.

Hey, there! I'm new to the forums, and it's nice to meet all of you! :marzi:
But I digress... This new toon is the first big toon in a while. My opinion on it is that it is somewhere between mildly funny and humorous, but it is not really The Brothers Chaps best work so far.

Hey, welcome to the forum.

BOT, this is one of my favorite tunes of all time. It was perfect. No SB, plenty of Homestar, and a good song. And the "Death Hole" was hilarious.

 : I wish I could get a date with a wall.

A full-on 10/10.

I thought the easter egg was really funny. "What? He couldn't've been in there. He moved away after 5th grade!"

I enjoyed this toon.

I'm way too tired to say much more than that.

I'll watch it again later and report back with my suppleties.

Oh man, this was great!

I admit I had some doubts near the beginning, but once Bubs stole his own stuff, I knew it was heading im the right direction. Strong Sad's line wer hilarious, and then- the death hole. That's what really sunk it for me. I loved the exchanging of sunglasses for a ziploc filled with grapes- just so bizzare- and then the band.

Since when have The Cheat and Strong Mad cooperated with Marzy? Oh well. I liked it. Its better than the constant fueding the characters have shown as of late. I like this toon better in places where evryone gets along.

And, yes I was dissapointed with the SB egg, but the return of the evil truck and another fifth grade line made it well worth it. And besides, if they hadn't fit SB in there somehow, they'd have hordes of fans after their heads.

So, I guess this is the first toon to get my perfect rating- 10/10. Pales "Bug in Mouth" and "Strong Bad in Jail" by comparison.

Ok, this is now my 3rd favorite big toon. 9/10, this rocked. Best of all, hardly any SB! I'm glad they were able to focus on Homestar this time, instead of two plots that intersect.

I really liked this toon. My favourite jokes were the death hole and Strong Sad wishing he could get a date with a wall. And the song was cool too.
